As many of you already know I have opened a new gift shop downtown, DECOPOLIS Studios.   We rushed to open in time for the Christmas pop-up shops this December.  We did very well with what we had and sold out of a lot of items.  Thank you to everyone who came downtown to shop!   Now we have been in "reorder/new supply" mode to expand our offerings and are working to improve the shopping experience by creating new displays and such for our products.

We are open "winter hours/days"  while it's slow downtown  11am-7pm  Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.  And once spring gets here we will open some extra days and perhaps for some longer hours.

The "theme" for the shop is  Deco, Retro, and Steampunk inspired gifts, decor and more (including, housewares, retro toys, cards, books, etc.)

We are on the SE corner of 6th and Boston Ave, in the beautiful Deco District

Go to our website (more to be added soon) check out our facebook page, and please like us!  ;D

I found great Christmas gifts at your store - love it!  I will definitely be back, thank you for the update on hours.  Since you're open until 7pm on Wednesdays, maybe try partnering/teaming up with Elote?  Wednesday is puffy taco night and they are usually very busy.  Just a thought, will stop by again soon!

Wednesday is 2 bucks on Boston, it's not just an elote thing, it's sort of a thing for all businesses on Boston.

Very, very cool space.  You must let me borrow the use of that BBQ pit at some point.  ;D

You really did a lot to that space, and keep filing it with unique items.  Keep up the good work!

Are you in the area where there were several small shops in individual 'rooms'??  With entry area to the hall that had some sculpture to the left as come in the door?

And do you have a sign?  I looked for Decopolis after Christmas and couldn't find it.

There is a google map on the website and a link there to our facebook page with more info.  But we are "in the area" if you call one block south of the Philcade, in the area. We are right across fromt the park and next door to The Vault.   We have a temporary banner sign up over the door, and will hopefully get a nicer one in a few months time.

Oh, and we have thought of joining in on the 2 Bucks on Boston thing.  The only thing I can think of to start off with would be our DECOPOLIS Studios brand greeting cards.  We can add more products in time and occasionally have $@2 specials on certain items to go along with it.

Essentially off the north end of the old FNB Motor Bank complex where The Vault now resides.  Great example of Mid-Century Modern architecture

Definitely in the area...I was so far off - was reading 6th and Boston, then actually going to 5th and Boston - in the Philcade building.  Around the corner from the museum - the little shops there.  Whew!!  Will try again soon.  Maybe this weekend if time permits.

Was working late at the DECOPOLIS the other night and a very nice couple came in and chatted for a while.  Then got an e-mail saying she had written about our shop in her blog.

Thanks Much "Unsinkable Sallie"!
