Ruben Gant's letter to the editor in this morning's paper got me thinking about partisanship in municipal government.  Here's a test . . .

One candidate has a reputation for being "hesitant" and "wishy-washy," and is endorsed by the Transport Workers Union of America.  He is viewed as ineffectual on crime, and narrowly escaped a vote of no confidence by police officers.

The other candidate consistently declares that Tulsa should be "open for business," and she has broad support among business interests.  She is viewed as better able to deal with crime, and is endorsed by the police.

Pick the Republican and Democrat.
