Yes, its terrible whats been said about Christians round here.  Twould be especially nice if all the religious talk would go elsewhere, and leave the board to discussions about Tulsa.  But alas, can't control what every person with a resentment chooses to post.

I've seen a lot of comparisons drawn to christians on this forum, and I must say that I don't understand that.

True - christrians have their share of idiots.  Mr. Phelps in Kansas is a prime example of that.  Locally we have people like Oral Roberts who lock themselves in small rooms and tell everyone that God will kill him if he doesn't raise enough money.  (Incidentally, he used that money to build a hospital which now stands mainly empty - I've often wondered how the people who donated towards that feel about their donations going to what amounted to as real estate fraud IMO.)

But Islams are BLANTANTLY violent - just look at the amount of death and carnage created by islamic terrorists around the world for so many years.  C'mon - recently they killed a nun in response to the Pope's comments.  THAT'S peaceful?

The koran advocates violence - and they certainly have their idiots who take it lioterally and have no problem following through.

The Christian bible also advocates violence if you take it literally. For the ten thousandth time, the problem is not with the RELIGION. ANY religion (INCLUDING Christianity) can be and IS abused by extremists. This is not rocket science.

By your logic, the number of murders committed in the U.S. means that democracy is a violent form of government.

I'm not normally a spelling cop, especially since I have the tendency to not care whether or not I spell something correctly.  (Type too fast, mostly)

And I won't be today, because the truth is, I find something comical about that "dangerous" minus the "r" in the title.  Mildly amusing anyway.  Not knee-slappin' hilarious, just "tee-hee" kind of funny.

Excellent post and right on target. Don't expect people to get this though [:)]

When you say "christianity," you are, by definition, reffering to the New Testament beliefs.  THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THE NEW TESTAMENT WHICH ADVICATES VIOLENCE.

You keep referencing christianity as being violent "if taken literally."  In its present hands christianity is dangerous but because of the morons running things - but the instructions given promote nothing but peace.

If I am in error, pplease show me where it teaches violence.

You must be using a different bible than most people use. Most of the Christians that I've ever known (at least the fundamentalists) believe that the ENTIRE BIBLE was written by the inspiration of God.

Fundamentalist do believe this, and it's amazing to hear them argue the word of God...as if they were there!

Most of the Muslims I have met in Tulsa are quite wealthy people... Most of them either own  restraunts or are doctors at area hospitals...  Never had a Tropical Banna Smothie until I got here... Some good stuff...

Angry Muslims--- We alawyas get mad, we play volly ball and half the game we play the rest we argue... We play poker, you lose we make fun of you and you go home pissed... [8D]

Well, we have a real forward thinker here. Let's hope she stays in South Dakota.

No more religious threads.
