Had ITR on Brookside last night.  Sushi is like crack to me.  When I eat it, I get obsessed with it for a few days.  Looks like I'm going to Tsunami w/ friends tomorrow night before a show.  Someone tell me the service is getting better, please!

I don't suppose they use brown rice, do they?

We had Sushi in Dallas over Thanksgiving and they made it with brown rice.  Was pretty good.

trust you? it is your opinion based on your experience... mine is/has been exactly the opposite... i went two weeks ago and the service was excellent... so what? it is still just my opinion...

itr? fekkin posuer central... the sushi is good but its hard to choke down through the gurgling pool of bile that my esophageal sphincter spews forth every time i scan the crowd... on our last trip there- a friday at 6, we were told "we have no idea" in regards to how long the table wait was and not offered to put our name on the list... the hostess then gestured to a bar full of tribal-tattooed insurance salesman and abersons mark-down, housewives of OC wannabes...

I liked the sushi just fine at In the Raw, but was turned off by the hipster scene on a recent Friday evening.  I'm just not cool enough to enjoy people who spend so much energy trying to be seen and pretending to be cool....

Love the atmosphere at Tsunami...and think it has the best sushi, as well as other unique menu items.  I agree that there are times when the service has been a bit slow.  But I'm usually with people I enjoy, and they pour generous drinks, so it doesn't bother me.  Also, you can't beat the sushi happy hour (M-Th) when selected rolls are half-price.  It's a great time to experiment and discover new favorites!

I think that overall, they are getting faster.  I've seen some new faces behind the sushi bar recently, and I think the added staff helps.

Slow again, but worth the wait.  Ten minutes between drink orders and the food is unacceptable when the place is not crowded.  Fortunately, I planned ahead on leaving enough time for the show.  

I really didn't pay any attention to anyone in ITR Tuesday night outside my dining companions with the exception of a couple I caught eyeballing me when I was getting ready to eat some sea urchin.  I don't care if I eat around posers, beats the hell out of slobs.

You're kidding!  Didn't know that. We went there once (business dinner) and the food was awesome, though they were a bit slow.  Still liked the atmosphere though.  Half price?  I'm going soon.

I'm not a fan of raw fish but maybe the service and food at that restaurant can help me change my mind. How about the price?
