Does anyone know when the new Kaiser Library is supposed to open on the east side of LaFortune Park?

I've walked past a few times recently and it looks like it's getting close.  Pretty nice use for the land.

never could find an exact date but managed to only find this

"The official groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 23, 2006. The building contractor is Oakridge Builders. The building is scheduled to open in the spring of 2008."

So I would say within the next month or so.  I drove by a couple of weeks ago, and was coming along quite well.

Found this on the 2025 website:

VISION 2025 PROJECT

Project: a. LaFortune Park - Community Center
Status: IN PROGRESS

Project Description: :
Construct a new Community Center facility at Lafortune Park.

Summary Update:
04.16.2008:  The site work contractor is scheduled to complete his work in early April. Grading of the site is complete and the landscape contractor is installing irrigation on the north side of the building. Due to recent inclement weather, completion of the sidewalks was delayed until April. This has delayed the paving of the parking lot until early to mid April.

The exterior work on the building is 95% complete. Interior work consists of ceiling grid installation, ceramic tile installation, painting, light fixture installation, heating and air conditioning trim out and fire protection system. Completion of the building is scheduled for early May.

Location is more or less, at the NE corner of the park directly north of the Tennis Center with access from Hudson.

You can't miss it, large red metal roof with several curved sections.  This building will house both the Community Center (Vision project) and the Herman and Kate Kaiser Library which is the NE portion of the building (closest to the pond in the Gardens area and Hudson.

That last report is a bit stale.  The paving work is still being delayed by irrigation work and mostly a record wet month of April; we presently expect paving to begin in about 2 weeks.

FYI - The building under construction (roofing at the moment) to the south of the tennis center is the new golf maintenance facility (4 to Fix-2 funding).
