Hm. Curious.  Is it possible that 7% of the voters sent in absentee ballots before Jan 30?

Why do you say that Hillary lost 7% of the vote to Edwards? Did not Obama lose as well? Just like you Obama freaks to pile on Hillary, even when your candidate just got embarrassed.

Maybe 7% of West Virginians didn't like either candidate because of the campaigning.

The media coverage of this race just sickens me. I just read the headlines on Yahoo News. It didn't say that Hillary won by 150,000 votes, the largest percentage win of any of the democratic primaries this year, or that she got 20 of 28 delegates...the headline says "Obama picks up two more superdelegates".

If you want to discuss odd results from West Virginia, explain why Mike Huckabee got 10% and Mitt Rommney got 4% of the vote. John McCain only got 76% of the vote. Does that mean that one quarter of all republcans don't want him as their nominee?

Yes.  Good news for the democrats.

The reason the media isn't paying much attention is because this was expected.  Obama is moving on to the General election, because that is where democrats need to start focusing.  Just as Hillary opted not to campaign in certain states, Obama decided that this was not worth the battle--he already will win the most delegates.

The days when the nation gathered around its tv set to watch Walter Cronkite (spelling?) are long gone.  Now we listen to news that supports our belief system.  When Mathews and Olbermann turned on Clinton with a vengence we dropped them from our nightly schedule and moved over to Campbell Brown on CNN because her coverage of Clinton was much more friendly.

Anyway, I've been waiting to see Obama throw a punch and now that he and McCain are getting into I've been eager to see if his mode of operation would change.

His response to McCain's first big punch:  He won't dignify it with a response but points out the wheels are falling off of McCain's bus.

McCain's response to Obama's response.  We are appalled by his denigration of old people.

I think, oh my Gawd, another sacred cow, "the Old folks."  Here we are tiptoing around afraid to say a d*** thing about Black folks and Old folks.

How about the women?  Who is going to show some concern for the women.  There's been a lot of talk about "She Devils" and "slithering snakes," and there was FOTD's "Cliton."

Somehow the Clinton Camp has gotten through this campaign so far without making up funny names for Mr. Obama based on his body parts and gender, oh, and race.

When the history of this campaign is written, there are probably going to be a lot of questions asked about what role the media played in handing the election to Obama.

Wow.  Already rewriting history.  Just plain wow.  Evidently, Denial ain't just a river in Egypt... Clintonistas play the victim card again...

How 'bout you place blame where it belongs... Mark Penn... Hillary's many campaign personalities... the Clintons' SAY ANYTHING mentality... ???

FREE MANDELA.... SAVE THE WHALES... AND GET SHAMELESS CLINTON HACK LANNY DAVIS OFF THE MEDIA STAGE! [}:)]

An unbiased media proclaimed that Obama gives a good stump speech... the media correctly point out the REAL rules in the dem primary (while still giving Lanny Davis/Howard Wolfson/Terry McAuliffe equal time to spout their spin/propaganda) ...the media point out  delegate counts and Obama's insurmountable lead in delegates... only in Clintonland is this considered anti-Clinton bias...

The Hillary-Clinton-inevitablility-machine made the rules in this year's set of primaries, yet refuse to play by them... and have been accused in the past of being media darlings themselves... ironic.

The real "tell" Tuuesday night was the third in a row of special Congressional election victories by Democrats this year. This includes two Deep South Democratic takeovers of Republican seats (Louisiana and Mississippi) and the Democratic takeover of Hastert's district in Illinois.

Democrat Travis Childers won Tuesday's Mississippi special election runoff for Sen. Roger Wicker's (R) former House seat, handing Democrats the biggest of their three special election takeovers this cycle.

All of these districts were not marginal Republican districts; they were large majority Republican districts, considered extremely safe GOP seats. The party is "listless and in disaray." Maybe because Tom Cole is leading their cause. He's not very good.

All this bodes well for the dems and Obama in the fall.....
