Any updates on the Centennial Green (the new park along Sixth Street)? The TW story from last month  said it was supposed to be done June 5. Haven't heard anything about it opening.

Last I read was the end of the month due to rain. There are tons of people out there working. They've got all the trees and bushes in and have most of the stone and concrete work done. They are currently putting in the dirt so they can put sod down.

i can't wait for that to open. i think there should be projects like this all around the city. like on that big vacant tract of land just north of downtown in between main and cincinnati.

I'm looking forward to seeing the fountain!  It has the potential to be very cool.

That parking lot to the south is just begging to be redeveloped with Main St. retail frontage and potential condos/apts. with a park view...

I love that building. You could make some fun loft apartments. If I ever won the lottery I'd buy one of these and allow the tenants to buy the offices and do the manual labor themselves to turn them into lofts. More of a hands on thing.

I am very excited for this to be done. One of the things I love about Manhattan are the little parks    in unexpected places.

These pictures are just reinforcing how much I loathe downtown surface parking lots.

I'd love to see a park like this in front of Holy Family Cathedral at 8th and Boulder.  The "Cathedral Square" idea that has been talked about here before would really go a long way in improving the northwest part of TCC's parking lot district in south downtown.

It's not their fault.  It rained this spring.  In addition to the rain, the weather in Oklahoma was uncharacteristically unpredictable.   [xx(]
