That thing is damn big. I hope it doesn't fall and squash one of our many upcoming country artists.

And if it does hopefully it just falls on their leg or dog or truck, so they will have something to write a new song about[:D]

Or the ex wife that they met in a bar while drowning their sorrows in a beer.

Is it me or does the arena look like it is built out of duct tape?

Also, has anyone else other than me noticed that the duct tape paneling is already becoming discolored and worn in spots?  Drive down first headed west past the arena and you will see the discoloration.

Because size/feature wise it is one of the nicest in the U.S.. Like top 5 or so.

I saw the truckload of williams logos, I was wondering what they needed that many for.

At least it is more visually appealing then that "meatball" used by BOk.

chlfan

Yeah well, take another look osu- there's a "meatball" on it as well.

Cool if true.  Do you have a source for that?

If I recall right, the source was from the project director, Bob Eggleston, by way of Daktronics, who assembled the scoreboard.

OSU

Funny story about Daktronics... they attended the OSU career fair last year and it was the saddest thing. Older women with a plain display trying to recruit people to move to South Dakota.

Was this printed somewhere?  Overheard at a bar?
I don't think the World article said anything about being one of the nicest 5 scoreboards in the country.  It just said

"Very few venues in the country will have better technology than Tulsa's events center," said Eric Covrig of Daktronics. "It will be equal in capabilities to the latest systems in NBA and NHL facilities.""

Pretty standard puffery language without much substance.  Don't misunderstand, the scoreboard looks pretty awesome.  Look forward to seeing it in action.
