That trash shoveler has a now available sign.  The outlasted my 6 month prediction, but they din't go much past that....what maybe a year?

Think it is a little over a year. I knew it wouldn't last as soon as I stepped inside.

Bet there is a Dodge Magnum with custom paint for sale cheap.

Someone bought the franchise expecting them to take off in Tulsa. Instead they never made it past the original location at about 79th and Memorial.

Never made it in there to eat but it the menu looks like any of 10,000 other places just like it.  Only this one looks like it was trying WAY to hard to be trendy.

I actually preferred it to Qdoba(sp?) and Chipotle...however, the reason for the fail was b/c you couldn't just say "steak nachos" If you did they would correct you with "Oh, the *******" (hard to pronounce) BS item name.

That, and the annoying "WELCOME TO MOES!!!!!!!!!" and the manager immediately yelling at the staff "That wasn't "Loud Enough!" made it kinda weird.

Not surprised.  There are too many restaurants within that two mile radius as it is.  Having a crappy concept and food will kill a place.  My daughter said the one in Destin was great.  We tried it once, not bad, just not memorable.

Mmmmm...Destin! Only 26 more days and I'll be at Emerald Dunes!  Preferably eating at The Crab Trap!

Try to get out to Dune Allen at eat at Stinky's Fish Camp.  It is owned by Ed Richard's brother Jim.  Ed is of the Hebert's Speciality Meats, the Cajun place on 71st.  One place to go check what is happening is at the Sowal forums

A friend of mine in OKC saw one open and was all excited thinking it might be something like Tin Star...he was VERY dissapointed.  Every time he's down here in Dallas or in Tulsa he eats at TS.
Destin fans, eh...my brother and his family have a place down there and he's been bugging me for years to go.  My wife decided this year we were going.  Ended up staying next door at the Sandestin Hilton, which is a massive complex on the beach.  WOW, what a place!  My wife already wants to go back.  I miss AL's...not the food, the view.  The water was like a swimming pool, it was so blue/green and warm it seemed fake. We loved seeing the dophins.

Thanks for all the Destin info, guys!  It is our annual family thing, b/c with a 1 yr old and 4 yr old you can't ask for a better beach.  My parents go with us and we grill steaks and shrimp, play in the water, cool off in the condo pool, etc.  The best part of parents going is b/c when kids crash form exhaustion around 8, Mr. K and I can go for a  beach stroll and have a sitter!

Joiei, I sent you a PM!
