Can't imagine those were a violation or illegal in any way.

Edited by myself- humor takes a backseat, my apologies.
Onward through the fog.

Thank you, Moderator, for editing some of the posts in this thread.

They were unnecessarily mean, hurtful and inappropriate.

Bound to tick off the authors of those posts, but I for one, appreciate it.

Just my 2¢.

+1.

I reiterate (because it was erased by Moderator since I replied with previous quotes) that we're more evolved than this post would lead one to believe. Let's talk consequences, hypocrisy, responsibility - not make juvenile comments regarding one's character.

And speaking of responsibility... this from KTUL's website:

NewsChannel 8's Jerry Giordano released the following statement today following his arrest last week on complaints of driving under the influence and hit and run. "I would like to thank friends, loved ones and my KTUL family for an outpouring of support and encouragement during this difficult time in my personal life. I realize I have many blessings and am truly humbled and grateful.

Those who know me understand that I am a strong man -- with a strong will -- and I promise to press on no matter what. However, I also understand the seriousness and the gravity of the situation and realize there is a very long road ahead.

For those of you who have watched me on KTUL for the past 12 years, I thank you. Stay tuned."

-----

Short - interesting that there's no apology or admission that he's disappointed many. I can't imagine any good lawyer allowing that (to apologize would be to admit guilt, no?) - but from a public perception standpoint, it seems like a mistake.

Like today, or in general?

I think I've been pretty good so far today.

regretful?? we all have...DUI and hit and run on the other hand? I HAVEN'T.  Neither has anyone that I know or are friends with.  I can also say I have never tried to buy off the cops or run 4 blocks while trying to get away from a wreck I caused. I can also assure you that I have not **** my pants while being read my rights and sitting in the back of a squad car waiting to be booked.

Once again, these aren't regretful acts like sleeping with a coworker or something.  He purposely drove drunk, hit a parked car, and then tried to run.  Once he got caught, he then tried to buy off the cops and the person that caught up to him.  How sad.

Poor guy.  I actually feel bad for him.

OMG, I cant think of a legitimate reason an officer would feel the need to mention that a suspect pooped his pants in an official police report.

How unprofessional.

I imagine that will be a question the officer will have to answer before a judge in a civil court.

Seems no one is wearing the white hat here.

Can you explain your thinking?  I don't see anything actionable about reporting facts.
