Where have you been eating lately?  Anywhere new?

This one is not new, but is "new" to me.  We ate at "White River" today and it was amazingly good.  I was a bit wary seeing the sort of "diner" look, but we'll go back for sure.

Has anyone tried Rio Verde?  supposedly good Mexican food?

The White River is legendary around here. I have been going there since I was small and now I am big.

When I first got married, my wife and I would go there on Valentine's Day. They sell the cheapest lobster dinner in town that night.

When I took my son fishing the first time, we were unsuccessful in catching anything big enough to eat. We stopped at White River, picked out some fresh fish and got them wrapped. I then stood a few feet away from my son and tossed him the fish so he could say he "caught" them.

The newish restaurant I have been to is Elotes on Bsoton near sixth. It was an ozone alert day so we wanted to walk to lunch. I loved the chicken burrito covered in white queso. I topped off the meal with churros for all. They were warm and cooked just right.

El Fogon Mexican Restaurant near German Corner in Owasso is very good.   I eat lunch there at least once a week.
Trust but verify

I had the Hanger Steak at Oscars earlier this week and recommend it.  Also the fried green beans.  Tonight after seeing Mamma Mia! we stopped off at KEO and I had the Ahi Poke, probably my favorite dish there.

I had some really good food at Copeland's at 71st and 129th in Broken Arrow.

Tucci's.

Contrary to my belief, there is decent pizza in Oklahoma.

I went to Papa Murphy's in Owasso earlier this week.  I'd had their pizza before, but it had been several years.  Too bad there isn't a location in midtown.

White river is great.  Rio Verde is also one of the best - cash only.

Evelyn's Restaurant it is on the north side of the Airport Complex.   You enter it off 46th St by the Zoo Entrance.

Tried El Tequilas at 81st and Memorial.

Meh...

Just about like every other Mexican food place in this town.  I wish I could find one that could stand out.  It's almost like they use the same menus and rename the food dish.  Guess I'm a little jaded after living in Houston for three years.

Also wish I could find a real, hole in the wall Cajun restaurant.

I tried Ella's Deli on 11th across from TU. It was great. Great food and a great atmosphere. I'm just disappointed I didn't visit sooner.

Tried Cafe Ole this afternoon for a margarita and chips.  Saw that Cafe Ole was voted 'best margarita' in Urban Tulsa.

All I can say is WOW!  Great stuff all around.  We'll be back.

The other day, a friend took me to a little place called PJ's that's in the back of a little strip center just west of Goldie's on 31st near Yale. The sandwiches were really good. Someone told me they used to be in Utica Square, but I don't remember them.
