I have been to Cancun to eat and it was pretty good.  Had fish. They served it with the head and all...delish!

And +1 on Ri Le and Shawkats.

Our 5 year old son is from Vietnam; we adopted him about 15 months ago. We go quite often...but really went there a lot when he first came home. It was awesome to hear him speak Vietnamese with the staff...but he's all English now!

Great food and a wonderful staff.

Awww, that is so cute!  Have you taken him to Nam Hai?  My little guy loves to look at all the crazy fruit in there.

Kolam Indian food at 48th and Memorial.  Lunch buffet for $10.

Good Indian food.  6 or 7 main items and a mini salad bar.  For me Indian food is OK every now and then but to a craving.  Just a way to change it up.

They pack 'em in on Fridays.  That reminds me, I didn't get my gyros fix this week, there's always tomorrow.

lunch buffet for $10 is a ripoff.  You can go to Indian corner over at 61st/Garnett and get the same stuff with less variety and not pay $10, I think it is $7. but that is lunch or dinner.

DesiWok is the same way.  (No buffet)   Quality over quantity.

I ventured over to Santa Fe Cattle Company in Bixby since I live nearby and not been before. I'd say disappointed is the best way to describe.

I figured it would be somewhere in between Chili's and Outback but it was really closer to Sizzler.

Prices were reasonable but the service was rushed and the food average to mediocre.

Probably won't go back.

In terms of rushed, I know restaurants need to turn tables to make money, just don't be so obvious. Give me time to eat the appetizer and salad before bringing out the main entree.

Then don't put the bill in front of me until I'm done and I'm not a slow eater.

My wife and I both ordered a Ribeye and agreed the quality of the food was below what we expected.

We've recently been to Longhorn on 71st which is in the same Steakhouse genre' and their quality is much better in terms of food and service.  We will definitely go back there.

Although the next Steak House trip is to the Silver Flame, Spudder or Jamil's. They're just a little farther away.

heh, I liked the fact that the service was rushed.  I hate it when my server diappears forever and I want my check.

As far as the food being mediocre, I guess it depends on what you had.  I had their Cajun quesadilla which, while not southewestern food, it was pretty unique.

it is actually more of a cross between Logans and Lonestar, I think calling it a Sizzler is a little overboard, especially since there is no Sizzler around here to compare to.

I thought Logan's was a poor imitation of Texas Roadhouse.

Excuse me if this has already been covered, the new Speedy Gonzales Mexican place at 26th and Memorial in the Clear Channel complex has been open for a week or so. Looks like the Sheridan location has closed. They are doing pretty good business, can't comment on the food personally.

Thanks Samalicious for the heads up.  I will go check this out over the weekend.

The Kobe sliders and the Pulled Pork sandwich are truly unbelievable!  I'm glad they got a good writeup!
