Randi v. Sally...predictions?

I don't have a good sense on this one because I live in the corner of the district and am registered democrat.

Randi Miller has raised the most money and is the incumbent so history says she will prevail.  I sure do know a lot of people who are real mad at her and would vote for anybody but her however. I don't know many republicans outside of mid-town so I have no clue of the Sand Springs/west Tulsa/Jenks/Glenpool.

I doubt the Bell's controversy has as much weight in those communities as it does in midtown.

I know there are 200,000 or so in the district, but how many are registered republicans and would show up for a special election in July is a guess beyond my paygrade.
Power is nothing till you use it.

The media has really been all over Miller.  There's no way she wins the general election.  I'm in the same boat -- don't have a good feel for how hoi polloi will vote.

Then again, Bell isn't that great of a candidate.  She repeats the same few lines over and over.  Her platform, from what I've read, doesn't really understand the office she is running for.

It's a unique election.

Does anyone know where you can find a map of the district boundaries for county commissioner?  I don't have a good idea of how extensive her district is.  I have been really suprised at the number of Sally Bell signs.  I have only seen one Randi Miller sign, which  went up just yesterday.  I don't know if that means anything.

I'd like to meet the person with the Miller sign and ask one question:

"Really?"

It means you just found it where Randi Miller lives.

This could be 1986 all over again where a public official was doing such a poor job they got knocked off in the primary by an unknown on a mission.

All the workaday slobs I know who keep tabs say they won't vote for Randi.  My moles around the oligarchy, the Rooney and Flint cartel, BOK/Kaiser, and Lorton's World/F&M Bank aren't talking though.  I suspect Diebold will rig the election in favor of the oligarchy. [:X]

I believe with the Bjorklund lawsuit, that will be the tipping point for Randi.  It's close enough to the election that those who don't stay well-informed will think: "Oh yeah, that's that Randi who is getting sued.  Better not vote for her."  She has been a total disappointment, I just don't know how many people really have followed her crash and burn through the commission and her abortive attempt to become mayor.

Without the suit, I think she might make it through the primary.

Some people will vote for Sally because it would be symbolic.  Others might not purely for that reason- it seems like too much of a novelty candidacy.

And yes, I have seen far more Bell than Miller signs around town.  I'm not sure where Randi has been spending her money, because I've not heard nor seen any campaign material other than MB's description of her bogus campaign flyer.  I haven't listened to the radio in a month since I was out of town and have been riding to work and back, so if she's buying air time I'm not hearing it.

Regardless, Karen Keith wins in November.  At least we've got two opportunities to try and weed Randi out.  If Randi squeaks by Sally, Karen has the resources to make sure everyone is aware of how bad we've been gyped by Randy.

^ Agree with everything above.

I have been hearing Randi Miller ads on KFAQ, which is quite an incongruous moment, as some of her biggest critics are there.

I have no idea who's going to win Tuesday. Given all the scandals, it shouldn't be close. But you're always going to have a certain segment of voters who are ignorant of what's been going on, thus giving an advantage to the Incumbent Party. Plus Sally Bell has been an unimpressive, one-issue candidate.

Pat Campbell had both on yesterday for a debate which has been loaded onto the KFAQ website.  Looks like Keith will be our lady for that seat which suits me fine.

I noticed my first and only Miller sign near 30th & Peoria. On a second pass, I noticed bundles of signs, and a couple of large wooden signs, silkscreened in red and blue with cursive writing that seemed to include the words "County Commissioner." (It was upside down, so I may be mistaken.) I was curious to know who Randi's first and apparently only midtown supporter was. A Google search indicated the house was recently on the market, so I'm guessing its a vacant house being used as a staging area for sign distribution.

That's the same sign that I saw.  Anyone seen any others?

Mr. doesn't live in the U.S. let alone Jenks.

With Bell what will happen or not continue at the fairgrounds just because of the bad blood even if Miller is gone. Sorry but Bell has not got enough knowledge of all county areas to be elected.

Michael, if Randi wins her primary, where is your support going in the general?

Wouldn't look good for you to support Randi, but I know you have issues w/ Karen over 2025 and the river plan.

You should have run.
