Remember my questions on luggage etc?  I eventually ended up buying backpack style suitcases (21") because we didn't want to haul heavy luggage on trains and buses.  Worked out fine, but there is not much you can bring back in those bags!

Anyway, we spent nine days in England, and loved the area of Abingdon.  Very pretty town, and close to Oxford.  We also went into London three times and visited the usual sights, but included Hampton Court Palace this time.

I'm afraid if I lived in the UK, I'd have to live in the old part (as pictured above) of one of the cities.  And I don't think I could afford it.  [:P]

Thanks for the pictures and the update.

I loved Abingdon, but the UK is expensive especially with our low dollar.  Still, we had a great time, ate whatever we fancied, and did a lot of sightseeing.

Now for some pics of Oxford. Great city.
