How do go about getting these?

Something like this in places most crossed:

Like that would make any difference lol. Its not as though the traffic is bad there anyway. You need to travel more if you think it is.

Oh really?  You never see cars flying by at 40 mph when it's a posted 25 mph limit?  Cherry Street DOES have bad traffic if you're a pedestrian... just like [[insert any Tulsa street name here]].

There was one of those at a crosswalk I use frequently.

It kept getting run over. I guess the city got tired of replacing it.

I think we need something sturdier. Tulsa drivers will plow into anything and everything.

Well get your butt in gear and get accross the danged road lol. If they are speeding, the cops need to clamp down on it. An extra sign or two with a little person on it isnt going to do anything lol.

Some cities have the "stop for pedestrian in crosswalk" signs...which I think actually do work.  It creates the expectation (and it reinforces a culture to remind drivers) that the pedestrian comes before auto traffic.

When I walk on Cherry Street or Brookside, I think:  "Dang, people, it's 25 MPH...slow down!"  But when I'm driving I sometimes become an egotistical jerk: "Hey, I'm in a hurry, get out of my way!"  Something about cars....

I almost hit two people one time, because they were using the crosswalk and I couldn't see them nor knew it was a crosswalk at the time. The one crossing near Doe's and Kilkenny's.
