State Rep. Randy Terrill, the author of Oklahoma's Anti-Illegal Immigrant Bill HB-1804, successfully fought off a well-funded opponent Tuesday, winning re-election with 75% of the vote.

Today's Lorton's World quotes Mr. Terrell, who noted that some top Oklahoma City business leaders gave his opponent the MAXIMUM $5,000 campaign contributions.

Here's the link:

Terrell lashed out at Aubrey McClendon, CEO Chesapeake Energy; Larry Nichols, CEO Devon Energy, and Bob Funk, head of Express Personnel Services.

Terrell said: "The voters had spoken against the Chesapeake-Devon-Express Personnel OLIGARCHY, giving Terrill 1 and them -0-."

The Lorton's World article goes on to mention that the referenced Oligarchy, plus Sonic CEO Clay "Pigeon" Bennett, a man who loves Oklahoma Tax-payer provided Corporate Welfare for Rich-Men's Sports Teams, also gave the maximum $5,000 to Representative Mike Reynold's opponent.

Maverick GOP State Rep. Reynolds was quoted as saying those business leaders don't support him because of his stance AGAINST providing legislative help (I.E. state taxpayer money) to bring professional basketball to OKC.

Clay "Pigeon" Bennett is married into the historical ruling Oligarchy of Oklahoma City:

The Gaylord Family.

Another Oklahoma Oligarchy?

Could they possibly be coordinating Ruling Family Strategy through the State Chamber?

You think rich people suck?

You are just mad that some people have money and I think you are just jealous because you have no money.

I think those rich people suck. They go around and threaten and extort legislators that if they don't do there bidding they will face well-funded challenges. I know plenty of Democrats who have been the victim of this, most of them just submit out of fear. Good for them that they have the guts to stand up to these greaseballs, we need more legislators like that.

I'm from Mars.

Are you from Uranus?

Tonite, while star-gazing through your telescope, bend over see if you can spot Uranus, if it's a clear night.

Can't miss it.  It's HUGE.

I do kind of object to already really rich people scheming and sponging, i.e. SUCKING on the already too-squeezed Oklahoma tax-payer...

Using their pimping politician mouthpieces to do the SUCKING.... to game more taxpayer money to get even richer.

I think THAT kind of rich person does really, actually SUCK.

Yes, now that you mention it, that does sort of bother me.

Just a bit.

...than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven."

Think we'll meet any of the Oklahoma Oligarchy in heaven?

I think your homer cleared the 400' fence.

Actually, I only immigrated from Mars.

I was born in Ursa Major, of course.

Of course the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce hates Rep. Randy Terril because they've come to know and love fatter profit margins realized from using undocumented aliens.

Many undocumented workers are "contractors".

No Workmen's comp coverage.

No Social Security withheld

Slave Wages.

No income tax withholding.

Off the Books, so to speak.

But, BIGGER FATTER profit margins for those already bloatedly fat with profits.

Of course, the Oklahoma Oligarchy hates Rep. Randy Terril's guts.

He's for US.

It's sad you are so clueless.

Bennett is not the CEO of Sonic; he is the major shareholder of the NBA team formerly known as the Sonics.  Outside of the NBA, he is the chairman of Dorchester Capital.

Details, details . . .

Who needs them when you can make up crap?

He misstated Clay Bennett's title.

That makes his whole point moot, and this argument about government in bed with corporate greed doesn't need to happen! Woohoo!

Hooray collectivism!
