On the rare occasion that I get a sausage roll, I like the ones at Petty's.

Is Kreepy Krap still open on 71st?

I always liked Daylight Donuts, especially the one at 41st and Memorial, and 31st and Yale.

daylight donuts at 71st and yale on the SE corner is always good IMO.  Also there is a daylight donuts on North Sheridan just south of Pine in a strip mall that is very good.

As for dunkin donuts, I stopped at one last month in Chicago and the munchkins, (I think is what they were called) that I got were old, hard and stale.  None the less, alot of people like them, so why not put one in Tulsa.  After all, we could always use another donut shop in this town!

Daylight is a Tulsa company.  I'd rather support them.

Yes, and Kreepy as they may be, they are making a killing. I was their Mystery Shopper for awhile (tough job but someone had to do it) and the main thing they got docked for was running the line too much for mass production and not spending enough time doing the "hot now" line for entertainment.

Yeah, but what does that have to do with good donuts?

Wait, are you saying they don't make donuts or don't make good donuts?  I seem to recall that they had pretty tasty confections but that was a solid 15 years ago.

Regardless, I'd like to solidly endorse Dunkin Donuts.  Not only do they have delicious donuts, they also have damn good sandwiches, inexpensive good coffee, and excellent bagels, etc.  Got me through many a law school morning.

I'm all over a Merrit's Cake or Cookie but their donuts rival Hostess. I shouldn't need a chainsaw for a sausage roll.

Amen! They make a great cake or cookie, but their donuts are some of the worst I have ever had.

I never been real impressed with Daylight Donuts and after a day the icing usually slides right off or melts off, you dont see that with a quality donut. Nope I'm so ready for a Dunkin Donut. Never had a Brown's donut before might have to check em out.

Yes!  When I look at Tulsans, myself included, I think WOW! those folks could use some more donuts.

Dunkin Donuts is terrible! Why would anyone in Tulsa care if they came to town when you have Daylight, among others which are farrrr superior.

Sorry, but the yanks have no idea how to make a good doughnut.

You really think a stamped out, six-sided piece of bread with glaze that just runs off is "good?"

It's more like an undercooked bagel than a donut.

Better than a stale, dry, spongelike thing that only resembles a doughnut in shape, and would be better used as a flotation device. No matter how hard I search, I cannot find a decent doughnut north of Baltimore. Seriously though, Dunkin Donuts is the *worst*.

I guess it's all what you are used to. I grew up with Daylight, and think they are pretty awesome, but everyone has their own preferences.

Is Uncle Willies still around? They were really good back in the day.

It looks like Tulsa may be getting Dunkin Donuts.  Here's a recent article in the Denver Business Journal.
