Would this topic be better lodged under the EVENTS Forum?

It seems Event-related........

Maybe because he was booked pretty early?

Meh, I liked him OK when I was in highschool.  Not so much now.

I'm going to say this if nobody else does... Who in the world thought that Janet Jackson was a bigger act than METALLICA?!

I think if you're part of the 'first family of Pop', you're going to get weighted differently than a bunch of former SF hippies who started out in thrash metal (I have all of their CDs BTW, up to and including the Black Album;anything after that was crap, IMO).

Just thought I would mention that although the website says that Metallica tickets aren't on sale until September 13th, if you click on "get tickets", sure enough, they are already on sale - got mine!

They have got to be better than the opening act in OKC. They were absolutely horrible.

So if Tulsa really wanted a place on the map with young folks, we'd be doing everything we can to bring Phish (they are booking shows for 09 right now).  Wanna drop a money spending bomb on downtown Tulsa?  Have a party for trust-funded hippies.

JJ was only 6,000 tickets and the top half of the arena is blocked (curtained) off.

The TU game tonight probably hurt tickets sales[}:)]
