So much for teaching abstinence....

Looks like there's a sale on straw at the co-op today folks.[B)]

Oh, and Todd Palin was arrested for DUI in '86.

The smartest thing the Obama camp can do now is just sit back and watch the train wreck- no comments needed.

azbadpuppy

But.......she can sure bag a moose!!

Anymore red herrings or canards you want to drag out.

OOOOhhhh...Obama did DRUGS in college!  Take that.[xx(]

What the hell does this garbage have anything to do with anything, short of prove that you read the dailykos?

I personally am not "dragging" anything out, but trust me it all will be.

What it has to do with is exposing the hypocrisy of the so called morally superior  that have hijacked our country for the past 8 years. We don't need any more of this.

What we need are people that will focus on the real issues to get the country back on track, instead of relying on fear tactics and some sort of false sense of moral superiority.

It has become very apparent that the GOP is only interested in pandering to the evangelical crowd- the rest of America be damned (literally).

That is right on.  Which makes it more imperative to not go with the stupid accusations and crazy shiate.

I think what is making the liberals crazy is that the Palin family values the sanctity of life. The family not only talks the talk but also walks the walk.

They are not choosing to kill a child because it is an inconvience. They have decided to have the child and support the child, the mother and the father as a family.

It is driving the Left absolutely insane beyond the farthest reaches of the daily kos.

As a member of the left (so ordained by Tulsa) and an unabashed liberal...no we aren't. We don't kill babies, we don't eat them and we don't just allow the blonde, blue eyed ones to be borne. Thats winger stuff. If it gets you through the night though it can't be all bad.

Thats a pretty good spin, but the real issue is that Palin supports 'abstinence only' sex ed, is a devout evangelical, and her own 17 year old unwed daughter gets knocked up.

I don't think anyone cares the daughter decided to keep it. In fact, do you really think she had any choice in the matter? Same goes for their announcement that they will eventually get married. Lol! Like they would be allowed to NOT be married, or get an abortion, or do anything else that would be considered 'unchristian'?

You really can't be that naive!

Then don't ***** when your candidate and his wife get the sh$t hammer for the next two months.  Turn about is fair play.

Hijacked the country?  Please, you need to get a life.  As I recall, our officials are elected.  Go out and get some fresh air, it might do you some good.

80% of Downs babies are aborted.  The massacre would be bipartisan.

I'll assume your figure is correct. If so it is bipartisan in nature. That's a reality lost on wingers (both sides) who are wrapped up in their own visions of morality. Massacre is the wrong word. Each one is an individual decision.

I neither admire her or loathe her for her decision. It was HER decision and no government could force her to into it. She and McCain on the other hand feel that a government should be able to force such decisions based on religious morality.

Now that's an issue that separates the candidates and is worthy of discussion.

Angry much?

I've never said that either side should not expect everything to be brought into the open. Its fair play for both sides. Let me just say though, when you run on a 'moral' platform you better be ready to get called out if you are anything less than.

And the breath of fresh air......that will be coming 'round November.

Barry is so anti-life he is willing to let babies die on the table rather than compromise.  Discuss? What is to discuss?

RecycleMichael

I guess that this thread is proof of my biggest campaign nightmare.

That nightmare is that abortion is the only issue that matters and people will close their mind to everything else. No matter how much I agree or disagree with the candidate onfifteen issues, the one that gets my vote is the one that probably affects the fewest number of people.

The war, the economy, safety, environmentalism, education, health care, and another bunch of things affect me every day. Abortion doesn't. My wife and I never considered it. Never in my life have I ever been having to decide that question. Maybe I am just different.

But single issue politics is the worst kind of politics. There are so many things to consider in choosing a candidate.

This is my fear. John McCain picked her just to frame this one single issue. He kept hinting that he was considering a pro-choice running mate just to have every pro-life person get involved in telling him not to.

It was all an election ploy. It doesn't matter if Sarah Palin is qualified or not. She is the perfect person to argue the one thing that will split our country and give him a chance to win.

I so hoped we were beyond this.
Power is nothing till you use it.
