If she doesn't make it to Jerry Springer, there is always the National Enquirer:

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/03/politics/fromtheroad/entry4413030.shtml

Not that I care about whether she had an affair or not, or even believe the National Enquirer, but I am sure this won't help her image.

And that's all that matters for democrats at this point.  Smearing is all that's left...no pun intended...or not.

True, after you finish pointing out the relevant facts  (i.e., that she was before the bridge to nowhere before she was against it, that she is currently under two ethics investigations for abuse of power, that she received over 6 million $ in earmarks for Wasilla (a town of 6 thousand) and that she requested more earmarks per person than any other state, that she spoke before a radical political group, that she characterized the Iraq war as a mission of God, and that she has virtually no experience to name a few examples) all you have left is smearing her family--that same family that she and republican party hold out as reasons to support her.

Leaving aside the fact that half of what you presented is only one side of the story...what would be equally fascinating is if you'd bother to look that closely into the past activities and faults of your own candidates...

You've done more research into a woman who's been in the campaign for less than a week than you have for your candidate who's been running for the better part of two years.

How typical.  Instead of responding, you try to throw mud on the other candidate.  Yes, there is always two sides to every story, but apparently, we'll never know the other side.  She has no plans to appear on any Sunday talk show.  She isn't campaigning.  Word is that she won't take any questions from reporters.

If you aren't ready to answer questions, you aren't ready to run for the second highest position in the United States.  And you definitely aren't ready to be in that position.

Obama has refused to release any information regarding his grades at Columbia or Harvard.  Being president of the Law Review doesn't automatically say anything about his educational prowess nor leadership skills.

People who have been asked have said his time at Columbia and Harvard were rather unremarkable other than being the first black president of the review.

Well, if that is so important to you, McCains record isn't so remarkable and Palin was lucky to get out of undergrad.

• Palin attended Hawaii Pacific College for one semester  in 1982
• Transferred to North Idaho College in 1982 and selected to major in business administration
•Matanuska-Susitna College, Palmer, Alaska: Fall 1985 (UPDATE)
• Graduated in 1987 from the University of Idaho with a B.S. in communications and journalism

Actually, here is the latest Palin college update:
   * Hawaii Pacific University: Fall 1982 as a freshman in business administration program
   * North Idaho College (2-year college): Spring 1983 and Fall 1983 (2 semesters as a general studies major)
   * University of Idaho: Fall 1984 to Spring 1985 (journalism major with emphasis in broadcast news)
   * Matanuska-Susitna College, Palmer, Alaska: Fall 1985
   * University of Idaho: Spring 1986, Fall 1986, Spring 1987

Lucky?  How so?  Care to elaborate?  According to my calcs that was five years, quite common these days.

Not with 5 transfers.
Lets see her grades. Could be totally wrong, but here's how it looks: She failed out of Hawaii, went to community college (more her speed), took another shot at the university thing, whoops better go back to Alaska and get the tough classes done at an easier school, then transfer them back to graduate.

I don't have the least hesitation at somebody taking 5 years to graduate. Hell, I did (transferred from a private school out of state). State schools do a good job of screwing schedules and giving bad advisement, making it tough to get your requirements done in 4, but if I were interviewing somebody with that history, I would have to ask, "you have a hard time getting your sh*t together or what?"

These attacks on Palin are getting hysterical. We have heard about her hair being twenty years out of date, she's a bad mother, and now this. As for seeing her grades, show us Obama's.He won't release them, perhaps at the time Palin was bouncing from college to college, Obama was bouncing from coke dealer to coke dealer.

She admits to smoking dope when it was legal in Alaska...but she didn't like it.  So far, anyhow, she's not engaged in illegal drug use.

That's one place she and I differ... I would have enjoyed it. [8D]

Where did you read that it was 5 schools in 5 years?  I read 6 transfers (once going back to a former school) in 6 years.

And it appears that McCain didn't even look into her college years.

She said, and I paraphrase her:

"She smoked some marijuana when it was legal in Alaska, and unlike Bill Clinton, she Definitely inhaled."

Cuil.

I wonder if Obama got the blue-lipped look snorting coke?

Got to do another line, Michelle. Hand me the $100 bill.

   * Hawaii-Hilo:Fall 1982 (it was too rainy there)

She's got a college degree and transferred around getting it.  Why do we care?  Obama attended three universities.  BFD.  She's a great selection, she's got all of you grasping at straws.

Where on earth do you draw the conclusion that McCain didn't look into her college years?

"She attended Idaho, whose mascot is the Vandals, from fall 1984 to spring 1985."

Ooooh, oooohhh, Mr. Kotter!  Mr. Kotter!  She went to a school where the mascot is the "Vandals"!  That's another scandal waiting to happen.
