Why Jim Inhofe?

Could someone explain to me why the devils should side with one of their own?

Tell me. What are the reasons Jim Inhofe deserves my vote?

Seriously.[8][8)]

Because the guy holds a huge amount of power in Washington, which gets things done.  Plain and simple.

Look, Inhofe, on the outside, appears to be a real jerk.  In my younger years, I had real difficulties voting for the guy and had questions like you.

But, the guy gets stuff done in Washington that really benefits Oklahoma people, and that is what you elect your representatives for.

You may not agree with his politics or simply some of his positions, but he does get results with the amount of stroke he holds.  A new guy will take years trying to establish the same amount of abilities.

For the number of years Inhofe has been in power over Tulsa's GOP he is the single most ineffective legislator I can think of.  He is the epitome of the get-along type that McCain was speaking about, nothing but a political animal wanting to maintain power - a paranoid lightweight surrounding himself with yes-men drunk with their access to the bright lights.

I cannot wait to put the yard signs out for Rice.  Should make my fellow Southern Tulsans'  heads explode.  FOTD, you really need to let go: 0150 and this $#!^ is on your mind?

I have a good friend who is a very active member in the statewide republican party. I asked him why he supports Inhofe.

His answer was that Washington is crooked and Jim Inhofe is our best crook.

Sad...very sad.
Power is nothing till you use it.

This post, in a nutshell, summarizes why people re-elect their own incumbent congressmen, then ***** about everyone else's (Sub 10% approval rating of congress as a whole)

Are Americans and Oklahomans better off than they were 6 years ago? 12 years ago? Has Inhofe made the employment picture better?

What has the Senator done for Oklahomans to improve health care? Reduce our reliance on foreign oil? Better the quality of education? Prevented broken government?

Would a new guy take long to get recognized? Or will Jim Inhofe put us behind the 8 ball[8] when Obama wins? Has his alliance with Bush been a positive for you?

These questions are insignificant to those who wear their patriotism on their sleeves or who
put"love of country" ahead of love thy neighbor.

Is our Senator a uniter or a divider?

And is his support for this http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080906/bs_nm/fannie_freddie_reports_dc_2 socialism or communism?

Finally, does the current science of global warming have credibility?

It was late because the devil went to an Andrew Rice fundraiser. Don Henley and his band played the Cain's. Tremendous evening. Steve Pryor at Lola's went acoustic with his band. Upbeat evening!

It's time to ask each other who would be best suited to help Oklahoma and our Nation move forward in a more equitable manner, less incompetence, and fewer influencing by the big corporations (BTW, congrats on supplementing Fred and Fannie).

It may have gotten late....this is the current cause. We've already lost 10 years to unprogression. The hour is getting late. We need young blood.

Since nobody wants to explain what Jimmy Inhofe does or stands for, The Devil here wants to illuminate for you our Senaturds powerlessness!

Shaky federal funding is cited in the $80 million decision.

He's shaky alright.....shady too.
Jimmy boy....WHERE'S THE MONEY!

The Devil does not regret distracting you repiglican posters here at TNF from your stupid comments and ugly distractions from the real issues!

Hometown

Both of our senators are excellent at grabbing headlines thanks to their pointless symbolic posturing on radical right wing issues.

Both of our senators are failures at representing Oklahoma's interests in our federal government.

Neither of them can bring home the bacon.

Case in point:  FEMA's refusal to help Tulsa during our greatest natural disaster -- the ice storm of last winter.

Our little mayor had to march up to FEMA all BY HERSELF to beg for money for Tulsa.  Where was Inhofe when we needed him?  Where has he always been when we needed him?  Embarassing us by grandstanding on global warming.

Folks let's get back on track -- Vote Democrat.

Ugly distractions from real issues?  "Bearding children" ring a bell?

FWIW- Inhofe and Harry Reid appear to be on the same page on this bill.  This has nothing to do with inaction on Inhofe's part, quite the contrary, from the story you quote.  Are you ever going to read any of the articles you post in their entirety or are you satisfied being a dupe bag?

How was that benefit for egghead Rice w/ the child molester the other night?

"We're willing to pass it today,'' Reid said, citing the thousands of jobs that could be saved.

Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, the top Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, also called for a quick vote. Inhofe pointed to the commission's action delaying projects.

"A significant number of Oklahoma jobs depend on Congress' immediate action,'' Inhofe said. "Failing to act would be devastating not only for our state's infrastructure, but also for our jobs and economy.''
"It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first" -Ronald Reagan

Talk is cheap.....tv ads are expensive.....and they are unauthentic and lies to boot.

My review of Henley can be found here at TNF.....but you've got to be smart to find it....

Over the last 72 hours, Jim Inhofe has poured tens of thousands of dollars of Big Oil money into negative attack ads against Andrew Rice.
After 22 years in Washington, Jim Inhofe knows his record is not one of supporting Oklahomans. Without a record to run on, he's resorted to the same smear tactics he's used against each and every one of his opponents.
Unfortunately for Inhofe, Andrew made a promise to you that no attack would go unanswered.
As the old saying goes, a lie can be halfway round the world before the truth has got its boots on. We can't let Inhofe lie his way back into the senate for another six years. We went on the air today with a forceful response, but we need your help raising an additional $20,000 to match Inhofe's weekly ad buy. Can you help?
Click here to contribute $5 or more to help us fight back against Inhofe's distortions.
Inhofe is turning to smear-and-fear politics because it's the only kind of campaign he knows how to run. He would rather attack Andrew than discuss the issues that Oklahomans are concerned about the most.
This campaign is different. Andrew has been traveling the state, meeting fellow Oklahomans, and talking about real issues. Earlier this week Andrew met with veterans from across Oklahoma and presented his plan to defeat terrorism, strengthen our military, and fight for our veterans.
The stakes are too high, and with only 54 days until the election, this is a critical moment. We simply cannot let Inhofe's smears define this race.
Click here to contribute $5 or more to help us fight back against Inhofe's distortions.
Your support made our response ad possible. Andrew is deeply grateful to have you in his corner as he fights back against Inhofe.
We know - and so does Jim Inhofe - that when Oklahomans hear about Andrew putting people before politics, we win.

Saw him (Sen Inhofe) today at Ike's Chili on Admiral, as well as Councilors Westcott and Gomez, and the Mayor, along with all three major TV media outlets and KRMG.  It evidently was Ike's 100th birthday.
