Too little too late.

Apparently Kathy Taylor wasn't kidding when she described herself as a CEO.  Now she has an office on the top floor of one of Tulsa's finest corporate office buildings.  She shares the floor with BOK and she is separated from the rest of city government by three floors of private corporate offices.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if we had just kept our historic Mid-Century Modern City Hall.  But Tulsa is going to sell the old City Hall to a private developer.  Then we can talk about how private development doesn't mesh well with the government tenants of Civic Center.

It amazes me how one bright idea from someone that didn't grow up in Tulsa can trash 40 years of government investment in Civic Center and place City Hall in a building is that inappropriate for that use.

Wait until citizens want to exercise their right to protest in front of City Hall or will we have to trash that right because Kathy Taylor wanted to be a CEO instead of a mayor.

She aint all bad.  Just really bad on this point.

Now if a vinyl sign to show off our new city hall doesn't explain how backwards this city is....

Nothing will.

Eight parking spaces, hmmmm, what is the percentage of those eight that have to be handicap accessible to comply with ADA requirements?

That's kind of what I though. So how much is it to park in the garage on the NE corner of 1st and Cincinnati that is attached to the ice cube?
Is it reserved? Do you get a discounted rate if doing business at city hall?

Just curious.

Did they at least make the sign out of duct tape to match the new arena?

*groan*

Sorry, it had to be said.
