I have often wondered if Fox News is partly responsible for helping sink the Conservative movement. The issues idiots like Hannity, O'Reilley and the rest of the gang harp on have set up an Us vs Them. This is not a good situation especially if you are trying to land Reagan Democrats, or at least have some intellectual thought process for voters to consider before they decide.

I think Fox News was the natural extension of the Right Wing Radio networks.  The success of Neocons on the radio had to be tested on TV.  And Fox News did it, successfully.  They have a large group of people who will watch nothing but Fox, there's big money in that.

Fox definitely has an impact on other news sources.  I think it caused CNN to change the Headline News format.  It also made op/ed people like Lou Dobbs seem more profitable.  

MSNBC found that if it were a "conservative race" on op/ed, they'd lose.  There are only a limited number of people who are willing to watch that.  MSNBC went the other way, and seems to have done so successfully even though there was little proof beforehand that it would be successful.

I don't know that it would be fair to say "Fox helped sink the Conservative movement."  Fox has become a national joke of sorts in some circles, and one could probably say that about the "conservative movement", depending on what that means exactly.  It may be that that Fox ended up trivializing a portion of the "conservative movement" that many conservatives are willing to see die.  Fox may end up being a "transformational" force on the "Conservatism."

However, the actual NEWS broadcasts on Fox are consistently ranked as the most unbiased reports.

It's incredibly sad that news reporting has been pulled, so extremely to the left, that FOX is considered extreme right. They "lean" right. They say fair and balanced, and they are not, but they are only slightly unfair, leaning slightly right. University studies,show that FOX is willing to show both sides and allow both sides of opinions, far more than the main stream media. They are hated, because they allow dissent. The "other' (Majority) media has been fairly successful in painting any form of opinion, that doesn't fit the Party (REDS) line, as extreme. We have ONE cable channel and the underground of talk radio. Think about that, you fascists. You can't handle the resistance, because the truth kills you every time. You either know you are wrong, or want to destroy all that is America, for guilt, animosity, or sheer hatred.
Maybe you are too stupid to realize that you are a part of those that do. Those are the options, there is no other choice. Come on, you hate all that America has ever stood for. At least admit you are ignorant and have been duped or that you hate your country. THERE'S NO OTHER OPTION. As per who you really are, your Pres Jackson (Dem) is responsible for the trail of tears, in treason against the US Supreme Court and the United states of America. Dims are the most racist people on the planet. You fought against freeing the slaves and somehow, have used the media to make them believe you are on their side. You found a way to dupe blacks into thinking you are helping them ,while re-inslaving them, this time, to a system of government subsistence.
