Temporary Housing Longshot

This question is a longshot, but here goes.  We may do some renovations to our home and if we do it, we will probably need to move out for 2-3 months.  Does anyone know any nice apartments/corporate homes/etc that we could rent for that short of a time?  It preferably would be near downtown, it needs to have high-speed internet access, and it needs to allow animals (we have a Lab).

I know some business people who stay at the ExtendedStay Hotel just west of 34th and Memorial. They stay for 4 to 6 weeks at a time.

They are suites with all the amenities.

Most reasonably nice apartment complexes are happy to do this. It's usually more expensive than signing a longer lease. I know ARG does this, so any of their properties would be a possibility, but you'd have to get your own phone/HSI, which isn't really a problem in most cases.

It may be cheaper to get something unfurnished and rent the furniture from one of the places that does that. College kids do it all the time.

I know Westport did that when I lived there in 2005.  You might also check with the Renaissance Apts right in downtown, they are very nice.

I know the nicer complexes at 91st and Riverside do it for corporate housing.  You may call to see who they use for the month to month stuff.  It is expensive though.

There are a few vacation rentals in Tulsa itself that would be worth calling.  I've googled before looking for them - one is on Yale near the fairgrounds - that one for sure will take a dog.  vrbo.com is a big site for vacation home listings.  The Yale property is listed there.

Bed and Breakfasts also often have suites with kitchenettes or full cottages available ->  Midtown Cottage and Garden Cottage were two that I had bookmarked.  I do not know if either would  consider a dog.

Finding temp. Housing is always a bear. It's also alot of work and a big hassle to do. I would try and stay in the house as you re-hab it, or just re-hab it at a slower pace or do a little bit at a time. If nothing else, just camp out in your back yard or garage.[]
