I don't want to go down there for candy. That part of Tulsa sucks.  [:)]

I get my candy from the nice guy in the van on riverside. He refuses to take my money too.

Bruton Tire & Automotive 38th & Peoria

It was a dark and rainy day sometime in the spring, 2007.  I picked up a screw in my tire with the new downtown road construction and the air was slowly leaking out.  I pull into this place I have never been before on a break from work expecting to pay at least fifty dollars and an hour of my day.  While the shop seemed pretty busy the clerk quickly took my vehicle back to look at it.  Twelve minutes and eleven dollars later I was happily back on my way to work with a patched tire.  I never got the clerks name or sent in one of those comment cards, but I should have; better late than never maybe.

I am always impressed with Best Hardware in Brookside. They are knowledgeable, you never have to ask for help and they dang near have everything a guy with a house would ever need. If you don't know what you're doing they are very patient, if you do know they don't waste your time. I still go to the big boxes sometimes but Best has never failed me.

What a great thread.  I am a stickler for good service.  I am a firm believer in we work way too hard for what we have to be treated shoddy.  There are too many good businesses out there who are willing to go the extra mile.

My business to mention is
Small Animal Hospital of Owasso (SAHO)
These 2 docs started their own practice almost 3 years ago...and have been thriving ever since.

For me..having the nurses know my animals when we bring them in...the receptionists recognize our names right off when we call.  The Dr's get down on the floor and sit with the animals..it is just really good care.

The biggie though was when our middle baby got cancer...Dr Kelley was very honest...he said...IT'S BAD.  He tried to be optimistic, but was realistic..told us the options...which would have been THOUSANDS...then said..."but if he were my dog...this is what I would do"  You have no idea how much that meant.  He gave us his home..and his cell...said DAY OR NIGHT...when it is time...to call him...he would come to us.

For anyone who has lost a critter...you know how amazing that level of care is.

So...to anyone who will listen...I recommend
Dr Kelley at SAHO in Owasso.  It is worth the drive.

HAHN APPLIANCE!!

You can run the dishwashers before you buy 'em.  Their service dept is top notch-prompt and courteous.

Cosmo's down on Memorial. Funky...fun and young wait staff. Great place to take kids; portions are actually kid size portions and reasonably priced.
