Texas helps Oklahoma with Transportation Corridor resolution.

They voted to abolish the Texas Transportation Commission.

Good goin' TX.

While I can not comment on the merits of the corridor as a whole, the replacement of a board of commissioners with a single governor appointed commissioner seems to be a short cited "solution."  What happens when someone with an alternative view holds the lone post?

Also, FWIW, I am a fan of toll roads so long as their use is equitably distributed.  If all interstates in Oklahoma were toll roads, so be it.  If users of a new roads are expected to pay for it (or a good portion thereof), so be it.

Toll roads, however, piss me off when use taxes from said road are then distributed to subsidize roads for other users.  Lets say... if every user of a road in and out of a particular town was taxed and said money thrown into a giant pool to be used for the benefit of other people who may, or may not contribute to said pool.  There may be an economic argument in there to offset me, but in principle that's really irritating. While temporary, and still possibly subject to political tampering, the decision is more of a statement that private/government interests will not run over the will of the people.

Much of the Trans Texas Corridor projects have been planned, funded and implemented without any public input whatsoever.

If they could do it without use/abuse of public power, I'm happy for them.  Otherwise, sounds like it is working itself out.

You wouldn't possibly be referring to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority would you?
