He cannot accept Obama's position on stimulus and the census issue:

Man this is fun to watch.

What do you think?  Domestic help issue?  Pop tart on the side? Playing hide the salami with pages?

He certainly just hid the salami in Obama. [:P]

Just another embarassing development brought to you by the man with NO executive experience.

I think you're seeing things that aren't there to make yourself feel better.

Since this thread is destined to go downhill anyway...

I heard the guy got in trouble for showing a lady his stimulus package on the street.  [;)]

Wow, that's kind of a dick move.  Gregg signed up for the gig after Obama put out his stimulus plans.  Now suddenly they're unpalatable?  Something doesn't square here.

My first thought was that Gregg had a set up in place all along. After loosening my tin foil hat, my conclusion is that the census issue drove his decision. But yes, it was still a dick move.

Do you all realize Obama nominated Gregg because he is a Republican Senator who would likely be replaced by a Democrat if he took the post?  It would have broken 60 in the Senate for the Dems.  This is huge news.

Some Obama nominees actually took office right? I'm losing track.

Not really. There was an agreement made that a republican would be chosen to replace him.

I think Gregg honestly made a mistake in sizing up the dynamics of his party and how this would limit his future. The republicans look either deceptive or foolish but one thing is for sure. They are still trying to figure out who they are. Word is they don't even think there is a fiscal crisis and that this whole thing will work itself out by fall in spite of the stimulus package.

Clever little fellows have figured out how to take credit for a possible rebound they have attempted to thwart, yet effectively dilute credit for their failure to thwart the crisis they spent 8 years administering. Gotta' love em.[:D]

Gregg is a dumbass. What the hell was he thinking in the first place?

This was a ploy by President Emmanuel, err Obama to secure the Senate and thank goodness someone with sense knocked a little into Senator Gregg's brain.

It would have had no effect on the Senate balance. Read or watch his remarks. They had no reference to a change in balance because a republican was to replace him. Sometimes a cigar, is just a cigar.

And down goes another Obama appointee, Charles Freeman at Intelligence:
