A sign I never could understand is those on the Oklahoma Turnpikes that say "Do Not Drive Into Smoke" Do they mean wildfire smoke? If you see smoke what are you supposed to do, pull over & stop on the turnpike till the smoke clears away?[xx(][8]

In addition to visibility issues, I've heard that the smoke can get dense enough to cause breathing difficulties for both you and your internal combustion engine. If your engine can't breath, it will leave you in the smoke where you can't breathe. Bad combo.

I've seen some yard signs around I don't understand and was hoping someone could clue me in:

One that I've seen in midtown says "Get over it" and I'd heard it is a response bot some other yard sign but I've never seen the first one, just the responses.

If you drive down 36th street, between Lewis & Harvard, on the south side there is a house that has a sign complaining about a certain homebuilder.  It used to be an enormous sign, but I guess he/she was forced to downsize it.  Now its about 3X5, and says something to the effect that he would never use that homebuilder again.  The sign has been up for years, and I guess the neighbors got sick of the sign, so they got signs of their own.

I suspect very soon someone will put up a sign complaining about the neighbors signs.  Glad I don't live there....

I have a friend who lives within view of that stupid sign about the homebuilder.  I think the homeowner is stupid to draw attention like that.  If your house is so horribly built that you hate the builder with such a passion, how would you ever expect to sell it?  You're basically saying "MY house is junk!"  The situation between that person and the builder isn't going to get any better, so why bother?  Some people and their obsessions!  Time for some therapy!

I don't get all the 'road closed' signs. When you're trying to turn on a street only to see a 'road closed' sign, it's awfully hard to make a split-second decision on whether the road is actually closed.

One of these days I'm gonna end up driving down a road that's actually closed because apparently ODOT bought way too many 'road closed' signs and not enough 'lane closed' signs.

OT, but...driving to Springfield on I44 there used to be a row of signs insisting the "failure to covereth headth wilt thou goest to HELL" or something like that, same for "covet of thy neighbors wifeth damneth thou to HELL" (in big, bold text, of course)  my family always called it "Damnnation Alley"

Good Fun.

Cannon, love the idea about the family death decals.  I think you should attack random vans in the Promenade parking garage.  Some ideas for the bubble captions?

"I hate mom"
"Mom is really an alcoholic"
"I hate these ******* sports"
I REALLY hate this van"

pancakes is with the road closed signs anyway then it is normally (98%) a lane closed or maybe a detour. Very Annoying indeed.
Thank you,

Their used to be a distinctive sign in somesone's yard on 36th or 41st in midtown saying something like 'I will never use (builder's name) again'...or something like that. Wow...not good PR!
