Gaspar's Restaurant Rule #1:  If you serve coffee, you must open at 6am.

I wake up at 4:30 or 5:00.  Am getting coffee by 6:00.  At the office by 7:00.  Go to lunch at 10:00.

8:00 is brunch for me.  Perhaps I will eat breakfast at 8:00 when I retire, but not likely (up at 4:30 or 5:00.  Coffee by 6:00.  At the golf course at 7:00.  Go to lunch at 10:00. Nap at 12:00).

When attacked by a mob of clowns, always go for the juggler.

Their breakfast selection is pretty limited.  Their bagel sandwich menu for lunch is much more extensive.   Menu here for your eyes only  http://www.oldschoolbagelcafe.com/Menu.html

Their posted hours are 8-2. 8AM seems a little late for a mostly breakfast-type food. Although, I have no idea what time Panera opens. But I do know that someone that works at 8 that wants bagels is out of luck unless they want to be late to work.

I felt the same way when I went in on Sunday....
new hours posted starting this morning are from 'mostly 6 to 2 mostly'
They do have some quirks to work out like slicing bagels when you order 13 bagels for the office that has no bread knife and learning what extra toasted means.  Most of the employees are young and under trained, time will iron that out.

Best part is that the bagels taste good and the everything bagel is not just one side everything one side plain.

Went twice this weekend.  Had absolutely delicious bagels both times--but that was despite not getting what I ordered either time.  I'll continue to go back because the bagels are real and the service will undoubtedly improve.  As long as the food is good, I kind of like the idea of being surprised with what I get ....

Hopefully this place thrives and expands. There seems to be a strong correlation between number of bagel joints and the overall level of awesomeness of a town.

Bready bagels and whatever you do, DON'T ORDER THE WHITEFISH SPREAD.

Are you saying then that you haven't been there?  I guess so.  What whitefish spread?

We took the kids yesterday...and as others have said...it was a bit chaotic. There was cash register confusion...and the manager had to help out. Understandable...it's takes awhile to iron things out.

The kids split a PBJ on white...wife had an everything with cream cheese...I had a roast beef melt on an everything bagel. Food was delivered to our table as ordered...and everything tasted delicious.

I would recommend that they offer kid size drinks and lose the plastic ware. And just a pet peeve...offer plain old unsweetened Lipton ice tea. The two choices were a green tea and a black Chinese tea. Wife said the black tea was nasty.

Loved the decor. Walls are decorated with old timey Tulsa photos. And the men's room in a hoot...walls full of framed concert tickets from the late 70s/early 80s. Oh how ticket prices have changed!

We'll definitely go back.

at most, it's a correlation between bagel supply and bagel demand...   wouldn't go so far to say that bagel eaters are more awesome than non-bagel eaters, or build build more awesome communities...

Beware of the cream cheese tubs...I made it to the bagel shop, ordered my usual bakers dozen and veggie cream cheese.  Made it to work to find our veggie cream cheese was spoiled.  The smell was penetratingly foul, check your cream cheese if it isn't labeled with a date.  They did replace the cream cheese but couldn't do anything about my travel time.
