What is the best cheap installer for lawn sprinkler systems?

I need a sprinkler system and I don't want to spend too much.  I want it professionally installed and I don't have time to do all the work myself.  I don't really know how many zones I have but I have a professional landscape drawing to show how everything will look when I have all of landscaping done.

Cheap and lawn irrigation don't belong in the same sentence.  There's no such thing, unless you are talking about a hose and sprinker.

That said, if you can cut and glue PVC pipe, handle low-voltage wiring, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, can operate a small trencher, you can do it yourself.  There's layout software available from irrigation manufacturers that will help you design it.  You would have to engage the services of a licensed plumber to tap into your city water supply and do the proper back-flow preventors, and make sure that part is done to code.  I believe since the wiring to the zone solenoids is low voltage you could do that yourself.  Someone feel free to correct me on that.

Maybe I should not have said cheap. I want the lowest price for a professional installer.  I would not even try this on my own but if an experienced person worked with me on it, I would probably pay them and help out as much as I could.

Obviously there's not a lot of traffic on this thread.  I can't think of the last time I saw a new system going in somewhere, but there's likely one in my future.  My lot layout is such that once I've done all the landscaping, it would be a lot easier to irrigate.

Get out the phone book and start getting bids.  Or you might call Ferguson Enterprises near 41st & Sheridan (I think they are on 42nd).  They are a wholesaler to plumbers and might have a few names.  I think there is Rain Bird on 61st east of 169.

we got a ton of bids, and our lot is decently big, not huge though and they all hovered between 4 and 4.5k.  We got a quote from Hydra Hose and it was 3k, I know they do something a bit different, but haven't had a chance to figure it out.  I thought since no one sems to be getting ones intalled, the prices may have come down, but not my experience.  I guess there are still enough new houses going in people are still working.

Try Tulsa Tree and Landscape.  (Jamin)

A buddy used them for a 7 zone and was very reasonable.  They did it last month.

My friends seem very satisfied.

When we had our house built, we used Triple A landscaping in Bixby for our sprinkler system install.  It is a 5 zone system and was about 4000 dollars.  I recently used rain bird for a cracked pipe and they were out within 45 minutes.  I called other places first and left messages and couldn't even get anyone to call me back.  I would check with Rain bird, they seemed very reasonable for a simple repair.

I went with HydraHose for a 6 zone system at $3,000.  It was the best deal I could find.  Many places that I talked to did not act like they even wanted my business.  I am pretty happy with HydraHose even though it took them a long time to finally do the install.

you will love it.  It is amazing how simple it makes our lives.  It is just one less thing to worry about.  I can control EVERYTHING and if its been raining, you simply turn a switch and it wont run. I love it!

I got a wireless rain sensor and it automatically shuts off the sprinkler system when it is wet.  It is well worth the cost (less than $100)

I've used Reid Irrigation and Sprinkler in the past.  Not cheap by any means but good.

I will need to do this next year, so I am grateful for the post.  Would love to hear how things are working out.
