The "We Support The Murder of American Troops" photo is 'shopped, probably by these guys, who thoughtfully left their watermark.

Also, "We support our troops when they shoot their officers" wasn't Code Pink either.  According to rightie mag FrontPage, "You can see the creator of the banner in the photograph; he's the one on the right wearing the black ski-mask . . .  [he] places himself on the political spectrum as a "class-war anarchist," and member of a 25-strong Bay Area collective named "Class War."

In other words, thanks for the Two Minute Hate, there, Guido.

I did not know you wanted to join in. First, way to ignore what I posted what Code Pink signs read at Walter Reed:

You want more, well here ya go:

Here's a Code Pinker hanging out with an all around nice guy:

we vs us

I didn't reply to defend Code Pink.  I replied to point out that there's a difference between "Recruiters Lie, Children Die," and "We support the murder of American troops."  It's sloppy of you to assume because Code Pink protests the government, the military, and the Iraq War that they also want troops to die.  It's just not so.  A cursory look at Code Pink's website and some of the actual reporting on their protests pretty much proves that "We support the murder of the American Troops" is completely the opposit of Code Pink's stated goals.

It does fit your prejudices about the antiwar movement, however, so I can't say I'm surprised to see that kind of stuff in one of your posts.

BB is inferring in his cute way that you're a paint huffer...

The last vestige of an argument is name-calling.  G-dawg posts shopped photos after declaring CP had demonstrated at Walter Reed as an illustration of how evil they are, could not find anything to support his argument and so just posts any old pics.  WVU rightly notes that the 'murder' pic was a fraud, a forgery, and now BB calls him a stupid-head.

G-dawg wants to defend police brutality. Clear and simple.  BB wants to defend the military's labeling of protesters as latent terrorists.  Fine.  But if you cannot do better than to repost the pic of some poor soul who has destroyed his brain, what are you even doing? BB, I do not think that is funny.  That is sad.  Sad that you are so vacant of empathy and the ability to chip in anything worthwhile.

1.3 M died.  Event he 'father of Reagonomics' puts the figger at 1 M.  Funny how the anti-abortion folk can believe the nation can slaughter 52 M 'babies' but cannot conceive that we could be responsible for 1.3 M deaths in Iraq.  Funny how the Federal government cannot be trusted to run health care because how dysfunctional it is but yet we can trust it to invade and try to occupy foreign countries.

Crickets is right, G-dawg!

Deface?
They unfurled a banner.
Made their point.
Greenpeace uses these tactics on a regular basis.
You don't have to like them, but have to admit they don't resort to terrorism and haven't used the "in your face" tactics other groups attempt to their own detriment...

Spraypaint on Teddy Roosevelt's nose would be defacing Mt Rushmore....

The problem with attention whores like Code Pink is the unintended consequences of their actions when they use those "in your face" tactics... people started hating PETA around the time activists started dousing paint on anyone wearing fur... kinda reminds me of the time a militant vegetarian I worked with wouldn't stop insulting me when I once brought back some KFC for lunch... I finally made a mistake by saying the chicken woulda died anyway, and he responded with an insult to my grandmother, who'd recently died of breast cancer....

So, I brought back KFC chicken for lunch and ate it in front of him every single day for a full week, sneering at him the entire time, proudly exhibiting my meat-eating freedom.

Once again, unintended consequences...
