Sayyyyyy why no one mention of Tulsan Steve Largent's role in recent events?   Sayyyyyyy do you suppose they - or elements within that the Family aka 'the Fellowship' also put the squeeze on Sullivan? Their goals? It appears one of their goals is to watch each others backs in case they get caught in their hypocrisies such as in paying hush money to one of their concubines. The prayer meetings are veils while they manage to intentionally manipulate ideas that fit into that 6000 year old earth mentality. If it were just a " shadow Christian government" that might be tolerable. These are extremists tied together to network for power and votes using a "common" thread of entitled almighty power. Crazy?

Just ask yourself what Coburn has done for you in his terms as Senaturd. And, watch him squash the high speed rail between Tulsa and OKC. He has the family agenda but not the people's agenda.

You'd get the impression they must hate POTUS OBAMA. No unions and no programs to help poor people as Rachel says, "through unfettered capitalism." This "fellowship" instead would rely upon generous capitalists. Right. "Trickle down fundamentalism" and empowering third world dictators. The devil is very happy because these guys are actually playing into his hand.

These totalitarian idiots front for everyone from the oil barons to the banksters. They're front men and pawns in a much bigger movement to make this a cuntry one for the corporation, by the corporation.  Executing doctors and condemning nudity,and attacking rampant lesbianism (FOTD takes this personally) are not the people's issues. We hear nothing from this physician and "deacon" about the health care issue.

We take Sen. Tom Coburn at his word when he says he did not advise Sen. John Ensign to pay off his married mistress. It would have been completely out of character for him to do so.

But we do question his claim that certain conversations between him and the Nevada Republican are off limits due to his position as a physician and a church deacon.

Is Coburn Ensign's personal physician? Or does any chat Coburn has with someone constitute the doctor-patient privilege? And since when does a deacon in a church have privilege?

Ensign is up to his ears in a sex scandal. His mistress' husband, Doug Hampton, claims that Coburn and others encouraged Ensign to pay off the family. Coburn denies that and says that he only told Ensign to end the affair and go public with it.

In the meantime, Ensign's parents have paid the Hampton family $96,000 in what they claim is mere generosity and concern for the Hampton family.

This is a smarmy affair and we wish that Coburn had not become involved at all. The whole mess will wind up before the Senate Ethics Committee, if not spark a full-blown criminal investigation by the Justice Department.

When it does, Coburn ought to tell what he knows. We respect the doctor-patient relationship and the minister privilege, but this situation doesn't seem to clearly fall under those umbrellas.

Any refusal to answer questions will only cause more controversy. If Coburn really believes that there is privilege then Ensign ought to release him from it.

The truth needs to be told. And Sen. Coburn needs to clear the air.


Tulsa World: We know enough to know Doctor No is the Party of No. Your paper seems to be getting stranger and stranger. One day your editorials support non-profit local anarchy and on another day you seem acceptable to totalitarian ways of a bunch of powerful wing nuts. It's not what Coburn is doing and not saying but who he hangs out with....domestic terrorists...and your passive stance towards this "family".
