Just had sushi at the Flying Fish on 111th and Memorial.  Absolutely the best I've had in Tulsa.

Wow!

I thought you were talking about Fly Fishing, but it turns out its all about Bait.   :-\
Trust but verify

I thought he was talking about the fish we saw in Gulf Stream off of the Florida Keys.  They had large fins and could use them to "fly" just above the water surface for many yards.  The fish were less than 12" long.  It was probably a defense move against predator fish.

Between Flying Fish and Savastano's, sounds like I need to get out south a little more.

Yeah, and now I hear they have a Rosie's Rib Joint out that way.  Same owners as the old one?  If so, I'm there.  Has anyone been yet?

Yeah well, my nose starts to bleed if I get south of 61st St. unless I'm on the bike trail.

Most people associate nose bleeds with high altitude.  Do you have a map with south up rather than north up?

Edited to add: Hmm..somebody forgot to take out the placeholder text on the web page..oops!

Edited again to add: And they should strongly consider using a web host that doesn't send 404s to a link farm page. Buying hosting on price is a baaad idea.

I took my younger daughter to Flying Fish Sunday night for her sweet 16th and it was a hit.  We liked the lower key atmosphere, and the specialty rolls and sashimi were outstanding.  We had a table full of people so we could sample a wide range of items.  The garden-variety stuff like spider roll and hand-rolled yellow fin were nothing special, but just like a Philly or Cali, they are hard to screw up.  The JZ, double-double, and Huy were probably my favorites.

I took her for sushi the first time four years ago on her birthday, it's become an annual tradition now.

Thanks for turning us on to it Gaspar.  I'll be back.

My wife & I own the liquor store next door.  Stop in for a Marshall.  btw, their sushi is amazing.

Calamari is served different with a great flavor.  Also, try their mussels.  Best I've had in a while.

Ahh, so that's where your liquor store is.  I still crack up over the "Jerimiah Weed".

"Uh, Michael, I quit smoking that stuff some time back"

Fun night.

I have spent lots of money in that liquor store. Is that "the Mrs." I see working there every time I've gone in?
