The Brain Washing of Our Children By POTUS OBAMA

The Hate Talk Industry never ceases to amaze. Obama's stay-in-school speech is labled as Indoctrination, brainwashing.

Obama is clearly a Comu-nazi-fasci-social-marxi-muslim-ist...

It never ceases to amaze me the idiocy of a very small fringe group of people. So now we must censor, review and check for appropriateness before allowing students in school to see POTUS OBAMA give a speech directed towards those still in school about staying in school and getting a good education. Even Nixon was allowed to be viewed by our children.  Parents are now calling the principal because they don't want the school to air the president's speech. Those parents are the very same ones who profess their loyalty to the Commander in Chief. They (the fringe nut cases) have infused themselves into ever fiber of the fabric of America. Recall a time when reason and sanity ruled and if you were a fringe element you were shunned by society and given no credence. If you were a public official you were chastised and either resigned or were not reelected because your outlandishness. No, now we have a TV stations giving them airtime (Yes, there was a time too when nut jobs didn't get airtime, in fact they went out of their way to show just how much of a nut job they really were) and giving a legitimacy to their ideas that should be scorned by any true rational person. Stop the fearmongering. Stop the hate. Most of all stop the blatant racism. Most of our society is better than these things.

Maybe the President could read "My Pet Goat" to the kids while the country is bombed.

I'm going to start out by saying enough with the racist card.  I'm almost to the point that when that gets played I want to say "Oh yeah? Well, I'm a poor, down-trodden white guy.  Beat that".  Just because someone disagrees with POTUS does not make him a racist.  This is an attitude that has become all too prevailant in this day and age, and heaven forbid you disagree with a minority, because if you do, then your racist.  So I say ENOUGH!

Now, on to the subject at hand.  The far rights that are pulling this are being rediculous. I have never been a supporter of Obama, however I see no fault in this.  I will most likely watch this myself.  I think it is a good thing that our president is taking an active interest in our childrens education.  From the reports I read, the real complaint comes from the suggested material for the schools.  I would guess that those that are against it havent' taken time to read it.  These suggestions, in my opinion, are well thought out, intelligent, and well placed given the context of the speech.  I am looking forward to seeing our President make an attempt at inspiring our children to do better.

Sorry, but it is what it is. No other Commander in Chief has had to endure this level of nonsense. And that is what it is. You agreed. This is not party politics. It  is derived from fear of our leader. Never has FOTD seen such flailing vial hate for all things Obama.

I won't say that some of the opposition to him isn't racism.  However, that does not make everything about race.  This is just some closed minded people jumping on the socialism bandwagon and using that to make a flap against a president that they don't like.  As it is, by continuing to use the race card it is quickly loosing any strength it might have to the point that noone will even look when it is a true case of it.

FOTD posted early today on a subject about a Grove Town Hall meeting.

Nobody here agreed and said Inhofe, a not happening Dude, had shown recklessness, destructive flat out lies, and offered no new ideas.

This forum has slipped into apathy when it comes to justice and the American way.

Where is the outrage amongst you?

Just a bunch of not happening hate mongers?

I can't comment one way or about that post since I didn't read it.  The title combined with the author had killed interest in looking for me.  Now it would take me the rest of the night to catch up on the post with the amount of replies on it.

President Bush went into schools. I remember in particular him reading the book "My Pet Goat" to children.

Thank you for finally recognizing that it is a very small group of people and not indicative of all thinking conservatives.

Really?  You don't think Bush would have been jumped on if he had this exact same gaff?  How about every misspoken word he had posted to the internet as proof that he was/is an idiot.    And what does this have to do with race in any way, shape or form?   He's the President, taking flack for stupid reasons comes with the job.

But more on point:  it's a non-issue.   Some staffer made a stupid mistake and made the event about Obama instead of about the United States.  The thought was good, essentially "what can you do to help the President make American better,"  but the execution was more campaign like than presidential.

I have no outrage in this matter.  Sorry.
