Hey Gang, I'm now a offical "T" Towner- I bought a house two days ago and we close on November 12th. I got a heck of a good deal on the home. The home is in good shape but I plan to fix it up and install new windows, garage door, carpet, build a shed in the yard and things like that and sell the home for a profit in a few years.  :D

Good for you finding a deal.  Only 8 more months until those superhot summers you love.

Are you going to put bars on the windows?  Is the shed going in the front yard or back yard?  Is it close to a library?

Good for you.

If true, you have to immediately stop using the terms "T"-town and "T"-Towner, no locals use that. If you live in Tulsa, you are a Tulsan. Period.

Congrats on the new home!

You must've been saving the good ones all this time...

That means that Sauerkraut is expected at forum lunches and happy hours (http://www.tulsanow.org/forum/index.php?topic=14419.0)

Thanks Gang, I'm also only about 250 miles from Texas where my daughters live. Oklahoma weather is almost as warm as Texas weather, I lived in Texas for 12 years! I like the wild Oklahoma weather & 100 degree+ summers!  :D

One way or another, welcome (back) to Tulsa.

If you work 2nd shift you can make one of our happy hours at Joe Momma's (that's downtown) for some pizza before heading into your shift.  Generally they are monthly 1st (Wednesday night) from ~5:30 - 7:00pm.  I look forward to meeting you.

In what area did you end up buying a house?
