Can you believe this is a bigger story than Huckabee freeing the insane to kill police?
He's over. (Willie Horton's ghost?)
Between Republican governors granting clemency, not denouncing violent rhetoric, and their sticking up for easy access to weapons, is it no wonder there's so much domestic terrorism going on?
Back on topic, it was a nine iron....

I'll agree, I think this will hurt Huckabee's chances for POTUS almost as much as being a fundamentalist. But, along the lines of your blanket statement about R governors: a governor can only act on the recommendations of the parole board and doesn't have a crystal ball to see into a criminal's future. Commutations and pardons have wound up in subsequent homicides by countless R and D governors all over the country. This happens to be somewhat more visible due to four cops being murdered and due to the political aspirations of this particular former governor. You cannot continue to incarcerate someone for anticipating criminal acts if they have served their time or their is justification to modify their sentence. All I know at this point of this case is the filtered thumbnail sketch that's on CNN, MSNBC, Faux, etc. Apparently Huck is saying the prosecutor did not file paperwork in a timely manner on this if he opposed the commutation. I suppose there's plenty of blame to go around if we want to believe we could have anticipated this. Typically, isn't mercy for the criminally insane the providence of liberals? Why don't you check the voter registration records of the peeps sitting on the pardon and parole board in Arkansas before you spout off about this being about Huckabee's politics. After all, he did serve after Clinton and Tucker who may have had a significant hand in nominating the people on the P & P board.

Early Dismissal...............................
It is near the Christmas break of the school year. The students have turned in all their work and there is really nothing more to do. All the children are restless and the teacher decides to have an early dismissal.
Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can leave early today."
Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart and will answer the question."
Teacher: "Who said 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?"
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln."
Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home."
Johnny is mad that Susie answered the question first.
Teacher: "Who said 'I Have a Dream'?"
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King."
Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go."
Johnny is even madder than before.
Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?"
Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy."
Teacher: "That's right Nancy, you may also leave."
Johnny is boiling mad that he has not been able to answer to any of the questions.
When the teacher turns her back Johnny says, "I wish these b it ches would keep their mouths shut!"
The teacher turns around: "NOW WHO SAID THAT?"
Johnny: "TIGER WOODS, CAN I GO NOW?
