pie maker around 11th and peoria

my mom was talking about buying pies from an old house out of the back door in the 60s thru the 80s.  she think the house was off peoria [east] between 6th to 11th st.  most people we knew at the time would order pies from then.  just wonder if anyone remembers this and the name of the place, also why they stopped making pies. thanks

Time fades memories. Could it have been the little cake/pastry shop that was just east of Utica and 16th? I believe it was the old home of Merritt's Bakery. Now a hair salon of some sort.

thanks for your answer waterboy but i found out it was taylor's good pies on 8th st east of peoria.
