Surely there's some Chinese, Sushi, or other asian restaurant in Tulsa that stays open past 10 on weeknights. Surely?

Sorry, I don't know of anything like that. Late night food is one of those things that I dislike most about Tulsa. Our selection is extremely poor.

Every other city and college town has at least one eatery in most bar areas that's open until after bar time. We don't even seem to have that. I've never understood why places like the Brook aren't open until 3am. With our status as a very fat state, it shouldn't be that difficult for me to get food after 10pm.

Even stuff that's open really late in every other town closes before bar time here, like Wendy's and Steak n Shake.

-Kim's (or Kit's) takie outie on 81st and Sheridan stays open til 11 I think, but quality isn't that great.
-Number 1 Kitchen in Broken Arrow stays open late as well and their food is pretty decent.

Other places with good Chinese food are:
-Fortune Chef (several locations)
-China Cafe in Glenpool

If I had to rank the four it would be like this:
1. China Cafe
2. Fortune Chef
3. Number 1 Kitchen
4. Kims

I'm a huge fan of China Cafe. Their stuff is very tasty. I remember when they came over from Houston to get away from the big city life so they relocated to Glenpool. Houston has some of the best oriental food places in the states and they brought that over with them. No one can touch their egg drop soup or sweet and sour chicken. Downside is that they take cash only.

Thanks for the suggestions, Turismo.

I think it's sad that the best late-night dining option here is the grocery store.  :o

Not that 11pm on weekends is much better. In The Raw and Osaka on 81st are both open till then.

Yokozuna stays open the latest. Their hours are Friday - Saturday 5:00 pm - Midnight.

No idea why they have the early closing times. I agree, the weekday hours are ridiculous.

If more people ate after 10pm, I'm sure restaurants would stay open later, at least the ones that serve food which is worth a crap.

I question whether restuarant owners even know if there's a market for late night food. So many of them close as soon as there's a little lull, even if it's an hour before their posted closing time. If a place is never open past 10pm, how do they know nobody wants food after 10pm?

Denny's?

IHOP?

I don't believe either of those places serve food. More like Soylent Green.

Soylent Green is people!

I guess I thought the goal was late night.  Don't remember seeing any notations about "quality" or "good".  There was a "pretty decent" for Number 1 Kitchen, and yeah, it ain't too bad.

Are you saying the Chinese aren't people?

Yokozuna's apparently adjusted their hours. Now they close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday. That saddens me. I thought downtown was turning a corner in terms of food after 10pm.

Joe Momma's is good, but it being the only downtown restaurant that's open late, I can only eat it so many times a month.

Red Arrow;

HUH???
Not saying that at all.  Have a couple very good friends who are Chinese and love them a great deal.  Very much people.

And I love the food - even the Americanized stuff most restaurants sell in the states.  But then, I like pretty much all food...

Well restaurants are businesses too.  On a weeknight there just isn't enough business to justify the cost.  Sure there are some that would like dining options that late but the majority still eat well before then.  Why pay four employees to keep a place open when the operational cost of staying open versus the income from the few people coming in might net you a profit of under $100 on a good night, and little guarantee that you wouldn't have just as many nights that you lost money.  This is not a town that never sleeps lol. Ten-ish years ago whataburger and village in were about the only places open all night.  McDonald's didn't even have a twenty four hour location.  Buy the food early thats why the invented microwaves lol.
