How To Protect Yourself From Republican Anger

I told everyone here a year ago that the GOP leadership needed to step forward and make a stand against the hate rhetoric, the visceral attitudes, and the bigotry within their ranks as true leadership in a civil society are required to do. The intimidation party can't win with that methodology.

The death threats and hate calls against US Congressmen and women is unpalatable.

Just remember, only the other party is full of nucking futjobs.

Just like the South Park Hypothesis that conspiracy theories exist because 20% of people are morons, people want to hate, oppose and support things for no rational reason whatsoever. It wasn't that many years ago that there was huge backlash against Disney for providing same-sex benefits but  I knew plenty of people (from the 20% bracket) who jumped on the bandwagon because they had their own nutjob conspiracies (evil talking animals, etc)

Unfortunately the people with legitimate ideas and concerns always like having number behind them so they let whoever is willing to stand with them, stand with them. Libertarians begat Tea Parties which attracted nutjobs and thus we have Tea Baggers and bricks thrown through windows.

The result is that while a few people had the idea they were gonna do something like this:

They ended up more like this:

This is all contrived distraction.

Only one of the "10" Dems claiming to have received threatening messages has released evidence to the FBI (ol Bart), and that threat was more angry than threatening.

We've seen this in the past from them.  Smokescreen.

There will be more claims, until someone gets caught "burning their own church."

Another Alinsky tactic. . . to divert attention from yourself so you can continue your agenda while everyone else is reacting to your diversion.

Meanwhile large companies like Medtronic, Verizon, and Caterpillar are announcing that the bill will cost them hundreds of millions the first year and layoffs are imminent as a result.

I especially like Pelosi's statement "We don't want these actions to be a diversion."

Don't look at the mole.

That is an absolute lie.  More regulation, mandates, and higher taxes leads to job creation, not layoffs.  Have you ever even RUN a business, Gaspar?!?!

Oh!  You're right.  How foolish of me.

I suppose I need reprogramming.  Where is the nearest reprogramming center?

One Marshall's coming up.  Name your time/place (non-smoking only, please) Swake.  I'll even keep my yapper shut on politics, at least for the first three or four, no guarantees after that  ;)

I will have to take you up on that sometime. And no need to keep your yapper shut.

I would have tried harder if I had known there could be more than one Marshall's

Try now.

I just got off the phone with her and all she'd keep saying was "Who is this?  Who is this?  why are you doing that?  Stop breathing like that.  You're a disgusting and vile human being and you shouldn't make calls like this."  over and over.

It was unproductive.
