Tea Partiers generally more educated, more likely to vote and employed.

According to a CBS/NY Times poll, 70% of tea partiers attended college (nationally only 55% finished high school) and 37% earn a bachelor's or higher (nationally only 27%) Only about 1/3rd like John McCain and only 54% are registered Republicans. 56% make over $50,000 a year despite the fact they are older, with 75% of them being 45 or above. A separate poll reports roughly 98% of them are registered to vote while the number nationally is only 72%.

I've never been to a tea party, nor do I have any great desire to ever go, but the above numbers, plus the fact that nearly one in five Americans identify themselves in this group, shocked me.

It was kinda funny because the network news trolls reported this like it's a bad thing. 

Another funny point. . . I know that some poll showed that 57% were male, but looking at all of the coverage from last night I couldn't help but notice that most of the crowds consisted primarily of females.  Most of the speakers on the open mikes were female too.

That is absolutely correct. 


There are three types of able-bodied person:

The Producer - The producer uses original ideas and innovation to achieve. Puts little importance on title over experience.  Values hard work and lives in the world on ideas.  Producers are risk takers who believe they are entitled only to the fruits of their own innovation and work.  They only seek advanced titles and degrees when it is necessary as a means to increase their own productivity.  They typically do not advertise these titles and tend to be embarrassed when others recognize them by title rather than by achievement.   Producers are charitable to those they feel deserving of aid, and do not ask for the charity of others, even when they need it. Producers are typically conservative.

The Looter - The looter seeks out producers and attempts to attach him/herself to the producer  (much like the remora eel).  The looter will loot on behalf of himself or on behalf of others (Moochers or other Looters).  The looter values title over experience.  Looters usually seek advanced degrees, certifications, and constantly remind those around them of their academic exploits ("call me Doctor").  The looter will typically require you to refer to him/her by title.   They believe that they are "entitled" to success. They seek recognition for acts of Looting.  Looters are typically liberal.

The Moocher - The moocher respects conservation of energy above all else.  The moocher relies on the efforts of the looter or the charity of the producer to survive.  Moochers emphasize their weakness, or inability to produce based birth-right.  The moocher will use whatever genetic, cultural, or socioeconomic factor available to present a case for adoption by the looter.  The relationship between the looter and the moocher is one of dependence.  Moochers are neither liberal or conservative, they bow to whatever hand will feed them.  Moochers are happy to be used as pawns by the looter.

Note:  Politicians typically cater to the Looters and Moochers, because politicians are Looters by definition. . . even the good ones.


So. . .Yes, liberals will always be far more educated than conservatives.

Just got this from CNN:

Under 30: Democrat 60% Republican 39%
Income under $50k: Democrat 60% Republican 38%
Income under $15k:  Democrat 67% Republican 30%





But to address the previous statement, of college graduates, 49% are democrat, 49% republican but if you look at grad students, the shift goes very democrat.

I have conservative and liberal leanings so I'm intellectually confused and have arguments with myself. 

Luckily the conservative in me won't use the gun ownership to it's advantage over the liberal in me.
