Okay so I am cheap, I am going to my first Drillers game this season on on May 4th. Four Adults - Field Reserve. With that in mind where should we try to get seats? We will be walking to the park (coming from just west of downtown Tulsa.) With that in mind is there anywhere we should stop before/after the game?

Has the sound been worked out yet? Want to know if I should bring ear plugs or not  :P
Thank you,

You're gonna dig it.

Not sure of the seats, I've only sat behind the batter due to free seats.

Fat Guy's burgers on the East side of the field on Greenwood.  Get the Malt dressing for your fries and get a shake...they make'em fresh.

I didn't have a problem with the sound but ear sensitivity can be subjective.

The only reviews I have seen fro the ballpark where right after it opened and sound system was still kinky or rather it had kinks to be worked out. Anyway thank you for the recommendations, I almost feel bad waiting so long to see a game but I missed all the home games in April.

Will most likely be there every Tuesday :) Hope they have a great season.

If you've got time, go to the Huntclub in the Brady and sit up top on the patio.  Makes for a nice evening.  We walked there after our last game.  Or you can stop at the Gypsy coffee house half way to the Hunt club.  Or you can head West and go to the bars at Cains.

Bluedome for pizza at Joe Momma's is a good thing too.

Or just have a Marshall's at the ballpark and if it makes you crave more, go to almost any bar around the area and have some.  You said you weren't driving right?

Yeah, I threw the Gypsy in there in case you weren't a drinker.

I am, thus I've been there once.  It was fine but a coffee house is not where my heart is.

"beer is for breakfast, drink or be gone"

Am a drinker, a light drinker but a drinker :P Thanks for the recommendations, I look forward to Tuesday.

If it is any consolation, I haven't been able to attend either, nor will I be able to attend the first Shock game due to my participation in local community theatre. *Sigh*

Thank you for the heads up, I will admit to avoiding the philly chease steak anywhere in town but at two places. I think this is the most words I have seen you type in a long time.

Steak Stuffers USA (7846 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145-7829 - (918) 743-7474‎) and Phat Philly's (1101 South Detroit Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74120-4229 - (918) 382-7428‎ - http://www.phatphillys.com/)

Neither have the bread down (Steak Stuffers used to back when they where on brookside) but both are as close as your going to get here to a Philly Cheese Steak that I have found.
Thank you,

My season tickets are in section 103...first base side

I am close to the field and just past the Drillers dugout. I like the seats because they are inline with the first and third basemen. It gives you a great perspective on how hard it is to be an infielder.

The first base side will get shade earlier in the day than the third base side, but that shouldn't be a problem in May.

My kids like the frito chili pie they sell for $3.75. I like the simple hotdog for $3.25.

Tuesday nights are great. Tickets on the Lawn are only $2. Hotdogs, pizza slices, fountain drinks and pretzels are all $2 as well. You can get one of each and get out of there for $10.

You can also upgrade and buy better seats and use a Kraft Cheese singles wrapper and get a buy one get one free ticket. The best seats in the house are only $15 each.
Power is nothing till you use it.

The Field Reserve is only $5 a person on Tuesday's which is what we used to pay for the "box" seats at th old stadium on free days. I did not know about the Kraft Singles special though. With that might do Field Premium instead. I might do the lawn in a future game, wanted the first game to be in the seats. Most likely be on the third base side because I have a feeling first base will be sold out or be hard to have four seats together.

Continuing the drift, but I second Phat Philly's. Another plus is that they stay open until 3 or 4 on the weekends, making for a great sober-up spot.
