Got facebook? Check out the new button at the top of the thread.

Had seen that a bit ago.  Was going to comment but haven't had the chance, and forget to when I do.

Just went to post something and ended up not doing it because I just couldn't bring myself to post a serious thread and have it stick in the photo of Jay nodding.  Seems that it grabs either the first or the last profile pic that posted in the thread.

You should be able to change that, I'd think...it should be able to read all the avatars in the thread.

Hey, what's wrong with my avatar?!?
;D

No Facebook here until forced to do so.  I don't remember Facebook's specific terms and permissions but the ones I read from Yahoo, Facebook, etc seem to want too much personal information.  They seem to want the rights to anything I post.  They want the right to SPAM me.  Maybe a few more that I have forgotten.  I'm surprised they didn't ask for my CC number and mother's maiden name.

When I clicked on the post link it gave the option of two different seemingly random images or you can click "no thumbnail"

the one I tried to post there was only one image on it, so didn't have choices of pics.  Guess I didn't see the no thumbnail option.

Red, it's not that bad.  Just email (which you can make one on yahoo for it) and your name are what's required.  You can set privacy so that you don't get SPAM.

I appreciate that but...

One of the clubs I belong to has a forum on Yahoo.  In order to join Yahoo, I would have had to give more info than I thought was required or appropriate or make up some fake info which I am not any good at doing.  It's been about a year or 2 so I don't remember the details.  Before this site had the capability to post pictures, I investigated several places to post pictures.  All of them had provisions or requirements I found unacceptable.   A friend with a server gave me some space on his server while I needed it.

I wonder how many people actually read the terms and conditions to the sites they join.

Only extra things that yahoo requires beyond name is DOB, country and zip code.

What exactly is it in their ToS that you have a problem with? Just curious here.

All they "need" is for me to say I'm over a certain age, not my DOB.  What difference does my country and zip make?  They are just collecting database information.   I don't remember the terms and conditions I objected to.  As I said, it's been a year or two.  I realize there are a significant number of people that don't know the meaning of the word privacy.  They would tell you the last time their mother went to the restroom if you asked.  I am not one of those people.

But you got the point, right?  That's all that matters, Mr. Semantics.

Actually, I don't keep up with military helicopters.  The link you used identified it as a Blackhawk, then I figured out what your post was.

I was just going to say I don't really care if anyone agrees with my position on what I tell others or not.  I started this go-around by stating that I don't do Facebook, etc, and all of a sudden people want to know why or criticizes my decision.  Too much information in the information age.... that is all.
