I recently saw her at Reagan International Airport in DC waiting on a plane.  She had a caregiver in tow and was in a wheel chair.  Other than that seemed alert and was talkative.

I once had lunch with her in DC. She was crazy, but had great stories to tell.

She worked for 57 years.  She didn't run out on the people who elected her so she could become a media star.   She appologized for a stupid remark and then gracefully stepped down.  This is far from the same thing as several members of a certain political party.
