Guido, thanks for the link.  I just watched it now. I'm confused about one thing. The schools generally block internet porn so I'm wondering if he's guilty.

That is strange. The guy does deserve our thanks and respect for thirteen years in the military no matter what his discharge was about. As far as holding a political office, it doesn't seem like it would work out too well for him or his state. He does memorize his lines well and when he gets in a pinch, he just keeps repeating them so that shows he has some political future. It looks like the poor guy is being used and doesn't even realize it.

Good post.

Yep. I think you nailed it.

Between his admittedly "involuntary" discharge and his arrest, however, I think the guy's got issues.

State Democrat party chair Jay Parmley????

Didn't we used to have a state or local Democrat Party chair named Jay Parmley?

This voter in the first video voted for this guy because his name reminded her of Al Green, the singer.

Hmm, sounds eerily similar to a recent city election...

I think the democrats have a stick up their donkey because the voters chose a political nobody over their guy. So now they are resorting to all sorts of BS to try to get the guy removed, I think this could cost them any shot at a victory if they remove somebody the people have chosen during a primary. The republicans would have to have one hell of psychic telling them that they could win if they forked over ten grand for a filing fee of a political nobody and and no major campaigning.

The ballot was organized alphabetically according to candidate first name.  His name was at the top.  voters in that area knew nothing about the candidates and simply chose the first name on the ballot.  It happens all the time in local elections.  It's called the "Ballot Order Effect" and has been studied extensivly since the early 90's. The effect is very strong in elections where the constituents know very little about the candidates.

I don't that. Someone is going to spend their free time to run to the polls, possibly wait in line during a primary election? The bigger the election the bigger the turnout and the less informed registered voters are participating . A primary election during a non-presidential election year is hardly big. I also have to wonder if there is any truth to the so called Ballot order effect or if that is just BS meant to insult the voters and deny the reality of why voters did not pick a particular candidate.

They interviewed several voters who said his name seemed familiar, and that's why they voted for him.  LOL

If the Democrat party continues down this road to overturning a fair election on the basis of not liking a guy because he's not part of the machine, they are in for some serious damage.  They will take on even more water than they currently are.  Some wise Dem needs to take him under their wing and start the zombification process.

I'm kind of curious why the Studio B guy was casting aspersions about an involuntary honorable discharge??  And one here put it in quotes.

Pretty much by definition it is still honorable performance of the job.  See below;

To receive an honorable discharge, a service member must have received a rating from good to excellent for their service. Service members who meet or exceed the required standards of duty performance and personal conduct, and who complete their tours of duty, normally receive honorable discharges. However, one need not complete a term of service to receive an honorable discharge, provided the reason for involuntary discharge is not due to misconduct.

So we know there was no misconduct of any kind - else he would not have it.  Maybe a general discharge, but not honorable.  So why the aspersion?

I bet the guy is more normal than most candidates - I like it.  He has tweaked the Democrats AND Fox!!  Gotta love that!!!

Just when you think this mess couldn't get more messier, here is what could happen with this election challenger from the loser Rawls:

QuoteThe executive committee will formally hear the primary election protests by Rawl Thursday afternoon. Following the hearing, the committee has three options: overturn the election and declare Rawl the nominee, order a redo of the election for Aug. 16 or uphold last week's results.

The "extreme" circumstance that Page said would warrant the committee overturning the results and awarding the nomination to Greene's opponent would be if Rawl can prove voting machine malfunctions or that paper ballots were not counted.

But if the committee went ahead with replacing Greene with Rawl, expect a firestorm reaction, said Ken Klukowski, a conservative constitutional lawyer co-wrote a book, "The Blueprint," with former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. "You could have a federal constitutional challenge," he said. It could be argued, Klukowski said, that by automatically replacing Greene, who was popularly elected in the election, the state is violating citizens' right to vote.

The South Carolina Democratic party removing Greene, who is black, with Rawl, who is white, would likely spark questions about whether the ouster was racially motivated.
