Can anyone suggest a good voice to text app?

I know Dragon has come recommended as a desktop app; never tried it on the iPhone, but they do have a free app.  Do a search on 'Dragon Dictation' on the phone's appstore.

EDIT:  downloading it now...I'll let you know how well it does...

How about quicker access to enable bluetooth than having to go through settings?

Watch out Scott, you might get branded as an iPhone 'fanboy'....

I did a LOT of research on phones, including the HTC, the EVO, and the Backflip.  I ALMOST got the backflip in June, but waited to see the reviews.  Glad I did.

Backflip was at&t's half-hearted attempt at an Android phone, which many believe they deliberately crippled to protect iPhone sales.
I expect that to change when CDMA iPhones start coming out with Verizon... but then us Okies are going to discover how under-built Verizon's network is in this area.

It's also going to be funny when existing iPhone users think they can jump ship and just start using their GSM investment on Verizon.

Dragon Dictation is good. Siri is pretty mind-blowing for voice apps. You tell it "I want to see A-team near my work" and it will bring up showtimes for the A-team at theaters, starting with the closest to your work.

I have used Dragon Search for the iPhone for about a year.  It is a great app for doing voice searches.  I believe the Bing app now has voice search as well.

So does Google.

Thanks, Siri is awesome!

I just wish that apple had the voice to text built into the mail and messaging apps like Android does.

almost all phones are like that.  My last one took an act of Congress to get it switched on.  This one is actually relatively easy.  I just leave it on.

I'm lazy as Hell and it burns through battery life like a mofo so I've got a conundrum.

I haven't had that problem (with the battery life) leaving it on.  I do moderate app/web usage on the phone (not a lot of 3G stuff, mainly wifi at the house) and by the time bedtime rolls around, my phone is down to about 50 percent.  I don't use the phone alot for calls, so that might be part of it as well.

Calls?  This thing makes calls?

Hmm, maybe that's why I don't have reception issues with my iPhone.  I kind of forgot about that function.

Anybody here using Verizon?  I have Droid envy.  I think I'm about to jump on the Droid X or maybe wait for Droid 2.  I hate AT&T, but I'd stay with them if they had a phone I wanted.
