There is now a fence around the parking lot and a construction trailer in place.  I assume construction on this will begin soon?  Any street level tenants under contract yet?

TheTed

The area fenced off is the quarter block at archer and main. I just assumed the hotel would face the more urban corner at main and brady, which is still an unfenced surface lot. Anybody have any more details?

They're calling the area on the SE corner the construction site and were tearing up asphault along/under the main street bridge but the NE corner is a construction trailer and a couple fenced of parking lots.

They way I read this thought is that the hotel was going in on the NE corner and the other development on the SE corner.

Can someone help my more clearly understand what is going where please?

Anybody have some information on this project? Has construction started?

TheLofts@120

This project is moving forward and is right now in the architecture and engineering phase of development with GH2 Architects as the lead.  Final plans are anticipated to be completed next month with the general contractor then moving to put final bids together.  The financial package is also being explored as well as possible lease tenants for the ground floor's approximately 11,500sf of retail/restaurant space.

We are looking for established restauranteurs, catering to both entertainment style concepts as well as high-end fair.  Additionally, services such as coffe/pastry, gifts, florist, etc are of interest.

Today, the site has been leased on a temporary basis, to support the construction of the Metro at Brady's parking garage, providing space for their construction trailer and Tribune Loft's tenant parking.

Any questions or interest in the hotel's lease space, feel free to contact me through here or at 902-0760.

Thanks.

Will, can you post renderings when they are available?  I once worked for gh2, it's a good firm with talented designers.

Given the flurry of activity in Brady, I was curious about this project.... anybody know what's going on with it?

Check out the new rendering in this PDF:

Its beautiful, an all brick facade. Now I just reeaaly can't wait for this to start.

Yeah - it looks really nice.

Does anyone know when it's supposed to start?

If they completed the plans and put bids out in the March/April time frame, I'd think they should be getting very close to breaking ground.

That's a nice looking project.  I'm glad it's not the standard glass/disposable architecture that seems to be the current fad.

I don't think it will start until most or all of the Tribune construction is complete. They are using the site for tenant parking right now. So if they have to wait until construction on the Tribune is complete, it probably won't start until this winter. But I would think that since the parking garage appears to be mostly done, this project could move forward before then. But who knows?

I thought I saw a bunch of building material stacked neatly on the site Saturday.  Unless they are using it for a laydown yard for the Tribune II, I was assuming they are getting ready to start construction.
