COLUMBIA, S.C. – Longshot U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene has been indicted on a felony charge of showing pornography to a South Carolina college student.
Court records show a grand jury in Richland County handed down the indictment Friday for disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity. The Democratic nominee was also indicted on a misdemeanor charge of communicating obscene materials to a person without consent.
Greene was arrested in November after authorities say he approached a student in a University of South Carolina computer lab, showed her obscene photos online, then talked about going to her dorm room.
Greene has not entered a plea and has refused to talk about the accusations in interviews.
He faces Republican U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint in the fall.

The entire weird saga of Alvin Greene is completely . . . weird.  I'm still convinced there's skullduggery involved but just not sure how.

I'm surprised this even made it to the wire, he's a Democrat after all, this is normal and accepted behavior.

Hey, this has nothing to do with his ability to be a leader.  This is his personal sex life and shouldn't be dragged out in the public arena.

Some people are just worse at "pick-up" lines than others.

"Hey, look at this giant D!c& on my computer screen."
"Wanna go back to your dorm room and see the real thing?"
"No?"
"Well, can I at least count on your vote in November?"

That's a pretty bad "pick-up" line, in my opinion.

Why couldn't somebody like me with 96.77% of my faculties be nominated to be a US Senator.

I would make a great US Senator.

I'd make sure I'd have lunch with RecycleMicheal at least once a quarter to hear the views of the other side.   8)

Are you sure you want to undergo that kind of scrutinity and background digging? They may find that time when you were a fifth grader and you snuck an extra milk in the school lunch line and did not pay for it. Or worse yet, you checked out "Catcher in the Rye" in high school and did not pay the fine for the book being overdue. ;)

U.S. Senatorial candidate Alvin Greene tossed from a restaurant:

Quote(AP)   Longshot U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene was kicked out of a South Carolina restaurant after police say a woman accompanying him got into a fight with county Democratic Party members holding a meeting there, police said Tuesday.

Oconee County Democratic Party officials asked Greene, 32, to speak at their monthly meeting Saturday at Jimmy's Restaurant in Seneca. But that invitation was rescinded after the unemployed military veteran was indicted Aug. 13 on a felony charge of showing pornography to a college student.

On Tuesday, Seneca Police Chief John Covington said that Greene showed up at the meeting anyway and a woman with him got into an argument with people at the restaurant.
