Interior and exterior doors

So besides HD and Lowes (which I haven't checked yet) where would you go looking for solid interior/exterior doors?

I am thinking the doors in the laundry room (one leads to garage and other to outside) should be steel based?  At least that's what some contractors say.  Though I have yet to find one that fits the look I want.  I visited Windor today, at 46th & Sheridan but they didn't have any that fit the "steel based" type of doors one contractor said was best.

What kind of doors do you all have and where did you get them?  Is Millcreek worth a visit?

Solid wood is better, IMO. I've seen what happens to a standard foam core steel door when someone takes a crowbar to the lock, and it's very depressing.

I like steel doors and that's what I have on my house. There is all kinds of steel dors you can buy, a good one is much better & stronger than a cheap one, but IMO any steel door is better than wood... I bought mine at Sutherlands. However if you can get to a Mennards store they have tons of doors & windows, Mennards is like Lowes & Home Depot  store on steroids. Mennards has stores in Omaha and I believe in the KC area, sadly they don't market in Oklahoma. Steel doors are also fire resistant and the suns uv rays won't harm them, the same goes for bugs. In many states the door leading from the garage to the house has to have the garage side facing door with steel on it to meet a fire code or something. The side  that faces inside the house can be wood.

Have insulated steel door from house to garage - semi interior - and like it a lot.  Keeps the garage heat out.

I can't go out of town in search of steel doors, so I have to find somewhere in Tulsa.  I think they make sense too.  I would like one for the back door in the laundry room (no covered patio there, so the elements would be an issue), then leading to the garage is another place, and possibly one for the family room.  We have a covered patio, but I was looking at the present wooden door that was installed several years ago and the patio isn't enough to keep it in decent shape.

Lowe's.  I install them myself.  They will install for you, but I have no experience with their work, so can't recommend either way.  Thermal Windows does doors, too, and they seem to have a lot of fans here.

I won't let Thermal windows in my house!  That's a most annoying company.  They harassed me for about 4 years when they installed windows in a neighbour's house.  There was no end to those people.  I actually went on their website to fill out a form for more info and they say that your phone number and address were optional, but the system won't allow it to go through UNLESS you put those in!  So I gave an email address to see if they will respond, and put fake info for the rest

Might stop off at Lowes or HD to see what they have.  I hate high pressure salesmen, and that's what TW will have for sure.
