One thing I like about our neighborhoods are the signs that are posted outside of the select neighborhoods that have them.  See example below for Lortondale:

This is from a blog I like called Downtown on the Range (downtownontherange.blogspot.com) that is primarily focused on OKC but also is very complimentary of Tulsa, especially how its neighborhoods are well-defined while many in inner OKC are not.  It appears that your neighborhood assoc. has to apply to have these installed.  http://www.cityoftulsa.org/community-programs/neighborhoods/neighborhood-sign-guide.aspx

I wonder why the neighborhood south of Swan Lake, east of Maple Ridge and west of Bryn Mawr is not represented by street signs or even by a neighborhood association according to this map:

I've heard that neighborhood around Philbrook called Terwilleger Heights, does that encompass the entire area from Peoria to Lewis, 21st to 31st?  Just curious as to what to call that neighborhood, or if it is called different names.  I walk through there all the time and usually just say 'Philbrook area' or 'by Cascia Hall'..

I lived in Terwilliger Heights for awhile and my undertanding was that the boundaries are 21st to 31st and Peoria to Utica.

There was no neighborhood association when I lived there.

Do you know what they call the neighborhood in between 21st to 31st, Utica to Lewis?

The area between Utica and Lewis and 21st and 31st is two separate neighborhoods.  Wildwood is everything north of Crow Creek, which runs along the south side of Cascia Hall and from Yorktown to Lewis.  Forest Hills is south of Cascia Hall to 31st.  Neither really have the strength of name recognition that many other neighborhoods (for example, Maple Ridge) have.  I lived in Forest Hills for the last two years and we had no homeowner's association that I ever heard of, though there is a non-profit group that sent out letters asking for donations to maintain the landscape islands on Forest Boulevard at Lewis, Victor, etc.  Hope that helps!

Thanks, and most people probably do not realize that.  Which is interesting because all of the areas around them are well-known midtown neighborhoods: Maple Ridge to the west, Brookside to the south, Bryn Mawr/Ranch Acres to the east, Yorktown/Cherry Street to the north.  If Terwilleger Heights became better known i.e. if they put in the aforementioned street signs I could see that whole area known as "The Heights".  Driving down Forest/Terwilleger there are some nice downtown views.
