So just curious, are we still considered river trash if we live near Tulsa Hills?

What is this "Jenks" place you speak of? ;D

I've heard of Jenks.  You take that turnpike near the northern edge of civilization (Creek Turnpike, I think) and go west toward California.  After you cross the river that separates civilized Oklahoma from the wild wild west (and Oklahoma City), you should see an exit marked Jenks.  They may try to fool you into thinking you are still in Tulsa by marking the exit with "Peoria/Elm".  I've heard they even put a Reasor's there as bait for Tulsa travelers.

It's only a few yards farther south from the WalMart building to get to 111th.  In fact, there are now a couple exits to 111th from the WalMart parking lot.  It's frequntly easier to get on 111th Eastbound to turn North on Memorial than try to exit directly North on Memorial.  Sometimes it's quicker to take 121st/Delaware to get to Riverside & 96th from 111th & Memorial than to fight traffic to get back to the turnpike.

I am going to render a guess and say that cust is talking about the WM at 67th and Memorial (where the old Service Merchandise and Woodland Hills Cinema used to be).

Correct me if wrong.

Now that you mention it, since I am to the West of Memorial now instead of East, I might start using 111th to get out.  No idea why it never occured to me that there was another direction to leave that lot before.

Actually I spent a little extra time back in the neighborhood behind Target Friday night at an Itallian Potluck dinner and wine tasting.  If I spend too much time in the area and I might become corrupted, so I visit friends in Elba Tarrace from time to time to help balance it out.

I avoid that WM at all costs.  It is a plague to humanity.

You will eventually lose your fear of going south.

I do too.  Remember the first time I went in there and I thought 'there's actually a WM worse than the one by me (the Admiral/Memorial, "Hell on the Hill" Mart).  I left in a hurry.

Nicest one in the metro?  Probably the one in Sand Springs.

You really should check out the one in Glenpool. On the outside you walk in thinking "hey, this place is really nice" then once inside it's BAM, "damn, still just a Walmart".

That's what the one on 67th/Memorial did to me.

Personally I like the one at 111th and Memorial because for some reason it seems to have things that others don't.
